CONAE Comisión Nacional de Actividades Espaciales (CONAE) National Commission on Space Activities was created the 28 of may of 1991. by the Presidential Decree 995/91

Comisión Nacional de Actividades Espaciales: Is a specialized Agency Its main mission : to promote the development of space activities accordingly to the national interests. Assist the National government in the formulation of the National Space policy. Prepare and submit for approval by the National Executive Power, the National Space Plan and its periodical revision. Actual Space Plan is 2004-2015, and the new revision is actually under study.

The National Space Program The Space Program particularly emphasizes the use and scope of the concept of Space Information Cycle The concept comprises the set of information from space which together with information from other sources, will have a relevant impact on certain socioeconomic activities within the country.

One of the main pillares of the National Space Plan is the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATIVE COOPERATION

Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS)

The Global Navigation Satellite GNSS is a new and very promissory field of space activity for Argentina and CONAE, which can be materialized in cooperation with other partners. The next Space Plan revision will include one of the field of Activities: the cooperation in the developement of GNSSs.

CONAE understands the importance of the GNSS for society. Exists already experience in the allocation of the GPS Differential station in the Province of Cordoba, connected to the NASA Space Geodesics Network to improve the exactitude of the GGOS in the world and Regional measurements. In the past, also existed the negotiations with GALILEO on similar proyect. Actually is under negotiation the project of Installation of the Control and Differential Monitoring Station for GLONASS. Posibility for cooperation with China on Beidou-2.

CONAE is also interested to cooperate in the projects of Augmentation of the regional systems (WAAS, EGNOS, SDCM, GAGAN among others).

CONAE is interested in the training courses on the GNSS, to be organized in the Institute for Advanced Space Studies Mario Gulich, in the Province of Cordoba, Argentina for the potential users of GNSS in Argentina and the region.

With the help and cooperation of UNOOSA in the participation of CONAE in this Workshop on GNSS in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, in 2015, CONAE had the opportunity to introduce its capacity to the GNSS Community and it is willingness to contribute to the development of GNSSs and propose to organize together with the UNOOSA one of the future regional Meetings on the GNSS in Argentina. The future workshop on GNSS organized jointly by CONAE and UNOOSA to be scheduled (tentatively) for the next 2018, in Cordoba, Argentina. The date to be defined and announced,
