AGM coming up next weekend Have received their new Timing System Cooloola New President Peter Phillips attended this meeting Membership is steady Race numbers are lower than they would like but are working hard to increase numbers Club will shortly sign a new 10 year lease o With the new stability in their future they can now apply for grants Need more local officials and new members so club will be focusing on these ongoing. Practice money is being stolen, looking for ways to curb this and ensure members use the facilities correctly Discussed options including cameras, sign on books, lock boxes for money, yearly practice charge, ticket system etc Mackay Had a good year with the State Titles Numbers have improved on last year NQ Series numbers were boosted as it doubled as a shakedown 30-40 per meeting average Cadets 10-12 per meeting which is promising Finances have improved 5 year plan is being constructed with costings to give the club a focus for the future o This includes changing tyres to Supercar tyres, replacing gates etc Have postponed their AGM until they can sort out some questions regarding eligible voters Want to get back to grass roots racing and are focusing on this for next year Looking at resurrecting a Yamaha J class for 2018 Recently held AGM some new changes to the executive State Cup recently held, numbers were not as hoped but understandable considering the date changes and lateness in the year Meeting numbers are down overall Membership numbers are still strong There is a new Mayor in and the previous concerns with the Council and the future of the motorsport precinct issues seem to have abated Everything else going well have a practice monitor on practice days, they no longer accept cash for practice fees 80-85 avg for meetings Continually working to improve the facility Project works are progressing well, the club is continually doing improvements to the facility Would like to thank the other clubs for their support over the last year AKC was excellent and will be held at again next year won the AKC Host of the Year Canteen refurbishment and other works have gone very well and have further improved the facility Rockhampton Working steadily on improvements New shower and disabled toilets finished Major cleanup at back of facility completed Officials training has been successful the club has attracted some new officials New Juniors racing Top Rider will continue to hire the track for next year which will bring in hire income Page 5 of 10

Have identified some areas and will focus on improvements for next year Junior Driver Training was a brilliant initiative and the Junior drivers benefited immensely AGM recently held, new people have filled most of the roles Mt Isa AGM will be end January Had to cancel a couple of meetings due to lack of officials o Will be focussing on increasing their officials for 2018 They are a small club and Cadet and Juniors numbers are very low but they are working on improving this Would like to entice travellers from other clubs to come out and race in Mt Isa Charters Towers Received and tested new lights Have a new Club President, Working steadily to get the track fully operational Were hoping for a January start for racing Have been working on improving signage as per KA s requirements Have pulled down the old tower and are replacing it Working with KQ to receive the new timing system President s note Tony Manson will be coming up to QLD and will visit clubs to help them out where he can. Quotes for grant applications to cover this will be tabled. Can the unannounced visits be done as part of the track inspection? The next phase what have we learnt and how can we improve? o o o o o The actual costs to do the visits were increased because supregs were late being submitted from the clubs, which resulted in airfares and other expenses being booked later and being more expensive. Would it be more beneficial if the clubs did not know about the visit until afterwards as the clubs reacted when they knew they were being watched Mystery Shopper concept? Although there is no money in the budget it is still an important initiative which should be managed at some level to ensure it continues to help the clubs improve Discussed doing the unannounced visits along with a track inspection A grant to fund the unannounced visits needs to be sourced if possible For Unannounced Visits to be conducted in 2018 they must be funded via grant funding. This is to be reviewed for the 2019 Budget Cooloola Bundaberg, Cairns, Cooloola,,, Mackay Mt Isa, Rockhampton, Towers, Townsville,, Whitsundays Item 10f Proposed by Management (see attached) Budget Budget presentation o Discussed and amended for voting at the AGM Page 7 of 10
