Please contact the front desk for directions to the nearest bank or ATM. CHECK-OUT Check-out time is 11:00 AM. If you arrived after hours and picked up your key, please stop by the next day and check in. COPIES Copy service is available at the office from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. EXECUTIVE OFFICES Our executive staff is readily available to answer your questions or offer assistance. FIRE EMERGENCY The cabins our fully equipped with modern fire prevention devices. For your additional safety, please familiarize yourself with the fire alarm locations, exit routes and the fire safety guides. FIREPLACE Please be sure the fireplace damper is open before starting a fire. Firewood is supplied during the winter season. Kindling or fire starter is for sale at our office. Please use extreme caution and never leave fires unattended.
Guest Services HOUSEKEEPING There is no daily housekeeping unless requested. Additional charges will apply. Upon departure, please leave the cabin as you found it. Please wash all the dishes and leave the beds unmade. HOT TUB / JACUZZI Never use bubble bath or bath oils in the hot tubs or Jacuzzi tubs. Please cover the hot tub when it is not in use. KEYS Upon departure, please return the cabin keys to our office or, in case of early departure, you may drop them in the drop slot located on the front door. LOST AND FOUND For articles lost or found, please contact the office. Cove Mountain Resorts will not be held responsible for any items that are left or lost in the cabin. MAIL AND MESSAGES Mail and messages received at the office may be collected by stopping by the office. PARKING Complimentary parking is available for all registered guests. We cannot be held responsible for items left in vehicles on the property. PET POLICY For the convenience of other guests and in an effort to help us provide the cleanest and most sanitary accommodations available, pets are not permitted. The front office will be glad to help you make other arrangements for your pet. Cabin Procedures HOT TUB PROCEDURES Your hot tub was drained, cleaned, sanitized and refilled prior to your arrival; however, there are a few important things to consider. If the tub is not perfectly clear, keep in mind that many of the cabins are serviced by well water. Although the wells meet stringent quality standards, there may be some minerals in the water, which can affect its clarity. Be assured your tub is clean. Also, if your cabin was cleaned just prior to your check in, the water may not be at 100 degrees when you first arrive. Here are some additional hints and precautions: Limited usage: Limit use to 15 minutes and never exceed maximum bather load. Exceeding capacity or prolonged use can cause rashes or infection. Children & pregnant women should not use hot tub or jetted tub! Persons having heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, diabetes or other health conditions should not use spa. Introducing foreign materials, lotions, oils or soaps will shut the heater down. Keep the hot tub cover on during all non-use periods to keep temperature up Use the tether cable also during these periods so cover will not blow off deck Soap, lotion and bubble bath are prohibited from all hot tubs If you remove the bromine floater during use always return it to the hot tub Do not sit or stand on the hot tub cover Children should be supervised at all times Enter and exit the tub slowly Detach the filler hose during cold weather to prevent pipes from bursting While we cannot provide any discounts for a malfunction, we will do everything we can to get the tub up and running as quickly as we can. Maintenance typically comes first thing in the morning because once the hot tub is repaired it takes some hours to heat back up. FIREPLACE PROCEDURES Gas Fireplaces : To start your fireplace, locate the timer dial on the side of the fireplace and turn it to the desired number of minutes. If this does not turn the fireplace on call the office. Do not turn the pilot light off to your fireplace at night. These should stay on at all times. Fireplaces are turned off April 1 st & on October 1 st. Electric Fireplaces: To start your fireplace, locate the wall switch on the side of the fireplace and flip to the on position. If it does not turn on, pull the panel down below the glass to your fireplace. There is a button with two settings, (I) for Ignition and (0) for Off. Make sure the button is in the (I) position. If the fireplace does not light call the office. For wood burning fireplaces, you will find kindling and wood. Please be sure to close the door on the screen and DO NOT LEAVE THE FIREPLACE BURNING when leaving the cabin.
Cabin Procedures GUEST DEPARTURE CHECK LIST CHECK-OUT TIME DISHES OVEN/STOVE BEDS TOWELS ASHES GARBAGE HOT TUB HEAT & A/C LIGHTS FURNISHINGS SECURE PROPERTY PERSONAL ITEMS COMMENTS 11am or earlier from your rental property. No exceptions, please. A minimum fee of $100 will be charged for late departures, (after 11am) or if excessive cleaning is required. Please run a load of dishes before departing. Be certain to turn off the oven & the stove. Do NOT make beds. Housekeeping will change the linens. Please strip the bedding, and leave the sheets before you depart. Place all damp/wet towels (not bed linen) in the bathtub/shower. Do NOT remove from grill or fireplaces. Leave all garbage sealed in plastic bags. If outside cans are full, leave excess sealed in the kitchen area. Do NOT overfill bear proof containers or leave garbage on the ground. Do NOT turn hot tub off. Make sure cover is tethered & hose is unhooked from faucet. Summer - Leave thermostat on Auto & set at 75 degrees. Winter - Leave thermostat on Auto & set at 65 degrees. Turn off all lights. Return all furnishings to their original locations. Be sure to close & latch all windows and lock all doors. Check the unit thoroughly for all personal belongings. The telephone numbers are: 934-0911 (opt 1), 489-5577 (opt 2) You may also dial these numbers after 8pm and your call will be forwarded to our answering service. They will take your cabin name and repair request so that we may visit your cabin the following morning to address the repair. For emergencies such as a fire in your cabin, water flooding or personal injury call 911 first if you deem it appropriate and then call the repair numbers so that we can be notified.
