AUTHENTIC THESSALY GERMAN MEDIA VISIT Meteora s unique landscape enchants German TV viewers German private TV channel Sat.1 broadcast a four-minute travel feature on Meteora during a morning programme, produced by journalist Uwe Krist following his visit to the destination in March. The feature focused on the monasteries of Meteora and surrounding area, as well as activities available to travellers, local customs and took viewers all the way to the Thessaly coastline.

The race and the torch-lighting ceremony convey a power and myth with which no other modern sport can compete. Austrian running magazine RunUp published two online stories written by journalist Andreas Maier who ran the full Athens Marathon.
