To the northeast is Lake Los Palos, with views of snowy mountains. The forested Simpson River National Reserve, home to cougars, is southeast. The nearby town of Coyhaique has a craft market selling handmade items. Glacier-fed San Rafael Lagoon and the Northern Patagonian Ice Field are to the southwest.
