August 24, 2012 National Association of University Women TRENTON BRANCH P O Box 479 Trenton, NJ 08603 NAUW Women: Leading and Serving Dear NAUW Sisters: The Trenton Branch of NAUW is looking forward to hosting the 62nd Northeast Sectional Conference at the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center located at One Chauncey Road, Princeton, NJ 08541, from Friday, October 19, 2012 - Sunday, October 21, 2012. Based on telephone calls we have received, we realize that some of you have had challenges when registering for this conference. We apologize for any difficulties you have had with this process. We also want to clarify information concerning the pricing of the hotel registration. The Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center is undergoing renovations this summer. We were aware of this at the time we decided on the location. All the renovations should be completed by the first week in October. Therefore, this should not impact our conference and the facility will be newly renovated at the time of your stay. Please accept our apology about the confusion surrounding the registration. We have been assured that there should be no problems now. We understand that some members were told that the Center had no record of our conference and that registration could only be done online. Apparently, the Center uses a call center to take telephone calls in the evening. The people working the call center were not as familiar with our organization and our arrangements as they should have been. Again, we have been assured that this should not be a problem in the future. Telephone registrations can be made by calling (888) 807-5540.

The next confusion concerns the pricing of the hotel. The cost is $270.00 per person for both nights based on double occupancy. This DOES NOT include taxes. With taxes the total is $310.50. For the $310.50 you will receive dinner Friday night, breakfast, lunch and dinner (Banquet) on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Therefore, the price is inclusive of meals, but not taxes. We realize that our second letter said taxes included when it should have said meals included. We wanted to emphasize that meals are included so that members understand that while the registration may seem high, they will not have to pay for 4 extra meals which could cost as much at $100.00. In order to keep the cost at the price we have listed above, the room is based on double occupancy. If someone does not have a roommate, we will assign another NAUW member to share the room with her to make it double occupancy. If someone does not want to share a room with another member of NAUW, the price will be significantly higher. We can provide that price to anyone who is interested in paying for single occupancy. We will be having a game night on Friday for you and for your family s entertainment. However, if enough people are interested, we can arrange for a bus trip to Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pa. The cost will be $15.00 per person and the bus will depart after the public meeting, around 9:30 p.m. and will leave the Parx Casino around 2:00 a.m. The Casino is approximately 30 minutes from the Chauncey Center. Please use the attached form to reserve a place on the bus. If we do not get enough participation, we will have to cancel the bus trip. Conference registration is $ 150.00. Conference registration is not included in the hotel registration. If you have any questions about registration, please contact Sharon L. Young, the Registration Chairman at (609) 396-6006. If you have any questions about the conference, please contact Geraldine R. Eure, Esq., the Conference Chairman at (212) 460-4285 (days) or (609) 695-2586 (evenings). You can also contact her at eureg@verizon.net. NAUW Sisters, we look forward to welcoming you to the 62nd Northeast Sectional Conference in October. Yours respectfully, Kimberly Ward Kimberly Ward, President Trenton Branch, NAUW Geraldine R. Eure Geraldine R. Eure, Chairman Sharon L. Young Sharon L. Young, Registration Chairman
