BMW 100th Birthday German Tour 2016. Scenic and Continental Car Tours are operating the accommodation and travel package on behalf of the BMW Car Club for a proposed tour in Germany in September to celebrate the 100 th Birthday of BMW. The first night in Europe will be the Monday 5 th September, and the last one the Wednesday the13 th. Depending on which port that you wish to travel via, your departure and return dates may differ. BMW does not open for business with regard to booking Factory and Museum or Weld tours until April, so the following information cannot be guaranteed in their respect. We hope to be able to do a factory tour of 2 groups of 20, and the same for the Museum and Weld visits. Please be aware that these events are not guaranteed at this moment in time. If they do not work out, another event may be substituted. BMW are also celebrating their 100 th Birthday by holding a big meeting at the Olympia Park in Munich on the 9 th and 10 th of September. Everyone will be able to attend this event, but only those fortunate enough to have bought a ticket will be allowed to take their cars into the event. As of today, we do not
know the number of tickets that we will be allocated. We are hoping for 20, but these do not form a part of this tour offer. Other options will be offered to participants as the plan firms up. These will be organised by the club, and not by the Tour Company. More information will be published as it arises. If this works out, the tour cost will reduce by 20 per person, but we do not as yet know the additional cost of a meal at Schnitzers. 6 th September X 1 night Hotel Am Tiergarten Nurburgring Half Board (Dinner will be 3 courses, with minimum 3 choices for each course, chosen on the night you dine 3/3/3 style dinner)- http://www.am-tiergarten.de/ Note: The hotel only has limited parking. They will reserve 10 spots outside the hotel for the first 10 cars that arrive, but they must arrive by 5pm. The other cars can park in the nearby public car parking, first come first served. The public parking is not secure, but because of the area you are in, there is a very minimal chance of problems. Please be aware of this. Away from the mayhem of Munich, and most importantly outside of the chargeable Munich emission zones, but close
enough to be able to drive into Munich if required. Munich is approx. 20 mins drive from the hotel. Dinner is included on the first night only, with the remaining 3 nights left to members own leisure. Should you wish to travel within the emission zone, you will need a sticker, obtainable from various garages in Germany, but best buy one prior to you leave. Munich Visit. If all goes to plan, and subject to the warning printed at the top of this page, we are planning a factory visit, one to the Museum, one to the Weld, one to the BMW 100 th Birthday event, and possibly to BMW Classic. None of these events are yet guaranteed, and depend on BMW opening their booking session in April and granting us a place. We have submitted a request and will await their confirmation. Please do not reserve a place on the basis that you will be able to make all these visits, as you could be disappointed.
