Detailed Itinerary Day 03 St. Petersburg Enjoy a visit to the Peter and Paul fortress and Saint Isaac's Cathedral followed by a boat ride along the canals of St. Petersburg (Seat in coach). St. Petersburg 09:00 12:00 This morning proceed to see the Peter and Paul fortress. Established in 1703 by Peter the Great, the Peter and Paul Fortress has held some highprofile criminals in its prison cells, including 'Crime and Punishment' author Fyodor Dostoevsky and Lenin's right-hand man, Leon Trotsky. The fortress is also home to the famous Cathedral of St Peter and Paul, dating back to 1712. The cathedral's majestic bell tower and its flying angel figurine exemplify the city's architectural splendour. We then drive to the St. Isaac Cathedral which was originally the city's main church and the largest cathedral in Russia. It was built between 1818 and 1858, by the French - born architect Auguste Montferrand, to be one of the most impressive landmarks of Russian Imperial capital. One hundred and eighty years later, the gilded dome of St. Isaac's still dominates the skyline of St. Petersburg. Detailed Itinerary Day 05 Moscow Enjoy a guided panoramic city tour of Moscow followed by a visit to the Kremlin, Arbat Street and the Russian Circus (Seat in coach). Moscow 08:30 14:30 This morning, proceed on a guided panoramic city tour of Moscow, which includes a visit to the iconic Red Square and the stunning St. Basil's Cathedral with its colourful onion-shaped domes. Later, depart for the Kremlin, the 'walled fortress' of Russia that holds much of its history, politics and religion. The walls, originally of white stone, were rebuilt in the late 15th century, in their distinctive red brick. Today, the Kremlin houses four cathedrals, three palaces and two museums and is the official residence of the Russian President. It holds many treasures of the former Czars. What was once the Kremlin's Armoury Chamber, has been made into a museum of sorts. Later, stroll down Arbat Street, now an extensive and enthralling pedestrian walkway, filled with interesting shops and restaurants. In the evening, enjoy the world famous Russian Circus. After dinner, return to your hotel. Overnight in Moscow. Day 06 Moscow Enjoy an army tank ride (Seat in coach). Moscow 09:00 12:00 Russia is known worldwide for its military prowess. On this tour you have a chance to experience it firsthand. The tour starts early morning as we drive about 80 km away from the city into a socially made terrain to experience the prowess of the vehicle. On arrival at the range, one needs to change into combat uniform and be ready for the action. We then board the tanks in groups along with the Russian instructor who after explaining about the machine takes you on a 10-15 minutes ride atop the tanks, crossing hilly terrain, jumping trough marshes, beating the shrubs, swivelling the tank all along. The ride with its bumps and jumps is a lifetime experience to feel the real action. Upon disembarkation, we proceed for a demonstration of the famed AK47, its disassembly, cleaning and assembly all in far less than a minute!!
