D3 CUSCO This day willbe an adventure visiting the four important archaeological sites near Cusco on horseback, you will go from ENACO where our ur adventure begins, you will ride towards the community of Pumamarka, a beautiful scenery will be the perfect starting point for your excursion, you will get to your first destination Tambomachay the archaeological remains of one of the major sacred sites of the Incas. After visiting this place you will go to Puca Pucara, an ancient fortress that guards the entrance to the capital and therefore offers a splendid view over the valley and surrounding peaks. The third site is Qenqo, an important sanctuary thatt has many altars of sacrifice. The buildings are constructed with limestone. You will wi take a bus to the famous Machu Picchu citadel, located on the edge of the mountain of the same name. You will visit this jewel of Inca architecture, located in a lush tropical vegetation area. You will visit the different neighborhoods, squares, royal houses, large agricultural areas, trails and observatories. After the tour, you will have free time to walk to the Sungate called "Intipunku," which is at 2,700 m. This place offers the classic panoramic view of Machupicchu. In the evening you will return to the village of Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then moving on to Urubamba where you will spend the night.
