It will be the 2nd Wednesday in November. The meeting will be in the Church itself; use the same door to enter, but go up the stairs instead of down them. The program will be the following presentation: Saving our City through Historical Research Newsletter Help To no one s surprise, with ever increasing postage costs, our club spends a lot of money each month mailing the newsletter to members and other clubs with whom we exchange newsletters. There are several members who receive the newsletter by email thereby saving the club the monthly postage cost. The advantage to getting the newsletter by email is that all the photos are in color, you get it hot off the press and it can t get mangled in the mail (no offense to the Postal Service, but things happen). It would be greatly appreciated if members who presently receive the newsletter by mail could start getting it by email. If you would like to start receiving the newsletter by email, please send an email to Joe Guerra at jguerra3@roadrunner.com. Please indicate the email address(es) at which you d like to get the newsletter. Thank you.

The bottle is about 9 inches tall. There is a "B" embossed on the base but Bottle Makers and Their Marks says this is the mark of an unknown bottle maker. From the looks of the bottle, I'd say it is an earlier Magnus Beck bottle. If it makes any difference, it is one of two Beck's bottles with the NY embossed below Buffalo which makes it an easy variety to pick out. Club Notes The next meeting of the Greater Buffalo Bottle Collectors Association will be a presentation on Wednesday, November 14 th at 7:00 at the St Peters Episcopal Church 205 Longmeadow Rd Amherst, NY 14226. Featured speaker will be Dana Saylor who researches the history of old homes. For more information, contact Peter Jablonski at 440-7985 or 852-6628.
