Thanks to club member Ralph Shape for bringing in their various memorabilia & sharing their stories. Awards...Kim Hiliker would have won $4.75 for the Jug of Hope Contest - if she were present. The 1921 Silver Dollar raffle was won by Darrell Corgatelli...AOK Award was won by Ron Aldridge for finding & returning someone s treasured family memento - a sixty year old stainless fishing lure made in Norway. The No-No award was won by Gary Clark who seems to be having a lot of battery issues with his new detector as well as having challenges with the tire jack for his new car. Joys & Concerns...A warm welcome to our new members Brian Feierday & Mike & Caroline Townsend. John Shape & Terri Conard are recovering from surgery at home. Sharon Gentry fell ill & was taken to the ER & found to be OK. Webmaster Needed...a volunteer to keep CTC web site updated & maintained. The Club Plaque Contest...The club plaque is a unique piece of metal buried somewhere in King County & a clue to its location is given monthly until found. - Clue 1: If I was on the surface I could see water, I could see a volcano & I could see Alaska. - Clue 2: In the 20 s people came here to picnic & plunge; in the 50 s people came to dance. September 1st Board Meeting...at the camp out at Indian Flats. September 9th Club meeting...refreshments, cookies: compliments of Kevin Konen & Ron Aldridge.. Subject of the Month for this meeting is Knives. CTC Labor Day Weekend Camping at Indian Flat Campground August 31 - Sept 3rd, 2012 We will have a hunt on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. A potluck that evening.. On going weekend games will be included.. Cost of camping will be dependant on number of campers.. Nightly fee will not exceed $10.00 per night.. Info call Jon @ 253-826-7688 or Cell: 253-670-6274.. First arrivals get choice of camping spots. Large reserved site for members & families.. Directions To Indian Flat Campground: Indian Flat Campground is located past mile post 89 & just east of Bumping Lake Road on highway 410. This is over Chinook Pass on the right side of the road. I will have a CTC sandwich sign located just west of the turn off. The campground will be opened from approximately 10:00 am on August 31 until 12:00 noon on September 3. Allow 1.5 To 2 hrs. travel time from the Auburn area.

Oct 27nd 2012, Registration 6-6:45pm The Cascade Treasure Club will be hosting our 39 th annual Moonlight Hunt at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. We will be meeting at one of the picnic shelters on the south end of the park. There will be two hunts, hot beverages, fire, snacks and a raffle for some nice prizes. The first hunt will be a warm-up hunt with some tokens for prizes. Then there will be a short break, around ½ hour and the main hunt will begin with several tokens for prizes.
