2 3 The Z directory This directory has over 300 locations where you can buy fuel, so no matter where you are in NZ, you re never far from Z. A road and street map is available from any Z site. Please note though, this directory should only be used as a guide. How Z Card works The Z Card can be used at Z sites, simply follow the instructions below. At service stations After you have filled up, give the cashier your Z Card. The transaction is processed just like eftpos so you will need to enter your PIN number. Some cards also require the odometer reading to be entered. At truck stops Before getting your fuel, insert your Z Card into the machine and enter your PIN number. Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen. Z truck stops are available 24 hours, 7 days a week. For assistance press the call button located on the payment terminal. End of story. So, next time you re filling up at one of Z s service stations or truck stops, remember; When you re on the forecourt turn off all ignition sources, including mobile phones. Dropping a mobile phone, or switching it on or off could cause sparks, and ignite petrol vapours. Using a mobile phone when you are refuelling can also distract you. This can result in spilled fuel or not noticing traffic on the forecourt. Smoking By law, you and your passengers have to put out any cigarettes, cigars or pipes before you enter a service station or truck stop. Vehicle engines By law, you must switch off your engine before you refuel and leave it off until you ve finished.

40 Looking after your Z Card Make sure your Z Card is signed and keep your PIN number confidential Always keep your card in a safe place If your card is lost or stolen, report it right away to our customer call centre on 0800 474 355 and advise your business. Only use your Z Card for the vehicle identified on the card If your card has the make, model and registration of your vehicle printed on it, it should only be used for that vehicle. Use your Z Card to purchase authorised products only With your Z Card, you can only purchase preapproved categories of items. Our staff will not be able to process payments for unauthorised items on your card. Be sure to provide odometer readings when purchasing fuel This is important information that your business may need you to collect. Keep your Z Card protected The magnetic stripe on your Z Card contains important information. Keep it protected from scratches and away from strong heat sources.
