Natural Resources: The Trails State Michigan has over 12,000 miles of trails. Some are multiple use trails. Michigan s trails include: 6,407 miles of snowmobile trails 3,627 miles of ORV trails 2,712 miles of rail-trail--the most in the nation. 1,190 miles are state managed

Natural Resources: The Trails State 560 miles of state forest looped trails 900 miles of state park trails 590 miles of designated equestrian trails

Snowmobile Trail Economic Significance $560 million spending total: $400 million equipment spending $160 million trip spending Supports 3,800 jobs statewide 2009 MSU Study 37% Out-of-State Residents/6.5 days sled use 2009 MSU Study 132,777 permits sold in 2012-13
