2 P a g e ITINERARY FOR 2016 DAY 1 - ARRIVE VENICE 06 SEP 16 When you arrive in Venice we can meet you at the airport or railway station or you may wish to make your own way to the Hotel Ca Dei Conti. After checking in the remainder of the day will be at leisure. Welcome drinks in the afternoon followed by private boat tour around the Grand Canal and dinner at Terrazza Principessa restaurant. Accommodation: Ca Dei Conti, Venice 3 nights Hotel Ca Dei Conti is located in the historical center of Venice, a few minutes away from St. Mark s Square, in a splendid position along Riva degli Schiavoni, in front of the Venice lagoon. From there it enjoys the unforgettable view of Saint Mark's Basin and the St. George Island and its position allows one to reach easily the Mercerie and Via XXII Marzo with some of the world's finest shopping and to visit the Venice palaces, museums and the art gallery. DAY 2 - Venice 07 SEP 16 VENICE (B) The morning is free time to explore the historical city of Venice with some options to visit the fish & fruit market, Lido & the Venice gardens. In the afternoon enjoy a walking tour of Venice with the Guide. At the end of the tour the group will return to the hotel. Later this evening enjoy opera at Palazza de Musica.

3 P a g e DAY 3 - Venice 08 SEP 16 VENICE MURANO BURANO VENICE (B) Transfer by boat to Murano and Burano for a guided tour followed by time at leisure time to do as you please before dinner. Explore the famous islands of the Venice lagoon Murano and Burano - on a half-day excursion. See a glass-blowing display on Murano, shop for lace on Burano. This tour is a great introduction to the magical islands of the Venetian lagoon. Return to Venice for time at leisure. DAY 4 - VENICE PADUA BASSANO DEL GRAPPA LONGA (B) 09 SEP 16 Depart Venice for the town of Padua. On arrival there is time at leisure to explore and have lunch (own expense). The picturesque city has a dense network of arcaded streets opening into a large communal piazza with many bridges crossing the various branches of the Bacchiglione River which once surrounded the ancient walls like a moat. After lunch visit the historical township of Bassano del Grappa for a guided walking tour exploring this beautiful town famous for its porcelain. Visit the famous Nardini Distillery (The Oldest Distillery in Italy) for some grappa tasting. Transfer to the hotel for a 2 night stay including breakfast. Accommodation: Sweet Hotel, Longa 2 nights Padova hosts the renowned University of Padova almost 800 years old and famous, among other things, for having had Galileo Galilei among its lecturers. The city is picturesque with a dense network of arcaded streets opening into large communal piazze and many bridges crossing the various branches of the Bacchiglione which once surrounded the ancient walls like a moat.

4 P a g e DAY 5 - LONGA VICENZA MAROSTICA - LONGA (B,D) 10 SEP 16 Today, travel to Vicenza for a tour around this fascinating city. Vicenza was a prosperous town under Venetian rule, and its pride was demonstrated in fine architecture, much of which still survives. Its unique appearance largely owing to the work of influential sixteenth century architect Andrea Palladio, has led to the towns designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After Palladio, Vicenza is most famous for its trade in precious metals. It is also known as the gold city (the antique market is on the second Sunday of each month only). Continue to the charming town of Marostica at the foot of the Alps. The Upper and Lower Castles are joined by a crenelated wall, and the centre of town has a giant Chess Board in the main Piazza. This small jewel of a town is not to be missed on your journey through the Veneto region of Italy. On arrival into Marostica, explore the medieval walled town then enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before heading off to the World Famous Human Chess Festival (please see notes above regarding the human chess show). 5 P a g e Soave Sirmiome DAY 6 - LONGA SOAVE SIRMIONE (B) 11 SEP 16 Today travel by coach to Sirmione, Lake Garda with a stopover at Soave at the Pieropan winery to experience and enjoy some local wine tasting followed by lunch in this historical town. On arrival to Sirmione, enjoy some leisure time and shopping by strolling through the beautiful cobble stone streets of this medieval and picturesque lake town. Sit back and relax with a coffee or a famous Sirmione ice cream and enjoy all that the lake has to offer. Accommodation: Villacortine Sirmione 3 nights

6 P a g e DAY 7 SIRMIONE GARDONE RIVIERA SIRMIONE (B) 12 SEP 16 After breakfast transfer by private boat to Gardone Riviera for time at leisure to enjoy a coffee on the waterfront and stroll the beautiful streets to do some shopping. Later take the small tourist train to the top to enjoy some lunch and have some time to visit the Vittoriale degli Italiani Villa and its beautiful gardens. Then return to the dock for the boat transfer back to Sirmione. DAY 8 SIRMIONE VERONA - SIRMIONE (B) 13 SEP 16 Today is a free day to explore this region and relax before travelling by coach to visit Verona. Return to Sirmione later in the evening. DAY 9 SIRMIONE VERONA - BEVILACQUA (B,D) 14 SEP 16 This morning travel to Verona for a short walking tour of Verona, the city of the famous story of Romeo and Juliet. This has been a thriving and successful city for most of its history and today smart shops and cafes fill the attractive medieval lanes of the historic centre. There s a lot to see here, from Roman ruins to the so called Juliets Balcony. After lunch continue to Bevilacqua for an overnight stay at the medieval Relais Castello di Bevilacqua. This castle is a an authentic fourteenth century castle and a magical place suspended between present and past, a rich historic home full of charm. On arrival, enjoy some refreshments and dinner before travelling to Mantagnana for the Palio (jousting) festivities. This is a race between the 10 communities of ancient Sculdascia Montagnanese. Ten jockeys compete in a thrilling and exciting race where skill, strength and intelligence are essential skills required to win. In the evening, return to the castle for a nightcap. Accommodation: Castello Bevilacqua 2 nights

7 P a g e Castello Bevilacqua Castello Bevilacqua is located near Montagnana in the heart of the Verona plain. Your accommodation is an authentic, fourteenth century castle called the Relais Castello Bevilacqua. A magic place suspended between present and past, it is a rich historic home full of charm DAY 10 BEVILACQUA 15 SEP 16 (B,D) Start the morning with an amazing hands-on cooking experience in the Castello kitchen with their executive Head Chef then enjoy the lunch you have prepared. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner is at the hotel tonight.

8 P a g e DAY 11 BEVILACQUA BOLOGNA SESTRI LEVANTE 16 SEP 16 (B,D) Today is a big driving day. Make a stop at Bologna for a 2 hour food-oriented walking tour to view the main sights of the city. This city has one of the best preserved historic centres in Italy. It is famous for its arcaded streets and is a university town with a reputation as Italy s culinary food centre. Visit a local market with time for lunch. After lunch continue on to Sestri Levante with a stop enroute at Parma. Transfer to the hotel for a 2 night stay including breakfast. Dinner tonight will be at the hotel. Accommodation: Hotel Vis a Vis, Sestri Levante 3 nights Bologna, often overlooked by travellers, has one of the best preserved historic centers in Italy, famous for its arcaded streets. Bologna is a university town with a reputation as Italy's culinary center. (Food Capital of Italy). DAY 12 LA SPEZIA & CINQUE TERRA (B) 17 SEP 16 Travel to La Spezia for a full-day to explore the Cinque Terre (Path of Love) villages with a day ticket for the Cinque Terre ferries allowing plenty of time to stop off in small villages along this most scenic route. Return to Sestri Levante with a short stop in Lucca to stretch your legs.

9 P a g e DAY 13 SANTA MARGHERITA (B) 18 SEP 16 Travel today along the famous Italian Riviera coastline to Santa Margherita for an Italian Riviera excursion. Then take a boat ride to San Fruttuoso and explore this famous Italian Riviera town with a guide. Return by boat to Santa Margherita and travel back to Sestri Levante by coach. DAY 14 SESTRI LEVANTE MILAN (B) 19 SEP 16 Travel today to Milan and enjoy a city tour with a local guide before arriving at the hotel for an overnight stay including breakfast. View the main sights of the city and visit the Duomo. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Accommodation: Star Hotel Rosa Grand, Milan 1 night

13 P a g e PASSENGER INFORMATION, TERMS & CONDITIONS Tour Deposit & Balance A non-refundable deposit of $2000 confirms your place on the tour. The balance is due no later than 20 th June 2016 Prices, Cancellations & Changes The Prices given for the tour are based on a minimum of 10 paying passengers. Should we not achieve this number due to cancellation by participants between now and the day of departure Onde Culinary will attempt to make the necessary alternative arrangements to allow the tour to proceed. The tour will either need to be amended to keep the price the same or other participants will be asked whether they would like to absorb some additional expenses to cover costs or a combination of both options. As a last resort the tour will be cancelled and we will refund monies in full less any expenses incurred due to cancellation penalties imposed by suppliers. Onde Culinary Tours will not take responsibility for any other cancellation or amendment expenses you may incur for other travel arrangements associated with this trip as a result of our tour cancellation. Prices are based on exchange with the Euro of 0.63 to 1.00AUD. Should there be a fluctuation in the exchange rate of more than 5% or another supplier generated issue beyond our control we may need to adjust pricing accordingly. The decision whether to implement price adjustments will be at our discretion. Items not Included The tour price does not include your airfare. Gerry will be able to assist you with this and any other travel arrangements you require in conjunction with and in addition to the Onde Culinary Tour. Other items not included in the tour price are your meals other than those mentioned on the itinerary, beverages, porterage, passport costs, travel insurance and any items of a personal nature. Travel Insurance Travel Insurance - please note personal travel insurance is mandatory on all our tours and it is essential for you to insure your travel arrangements in case of cancellation due to sickness or any other causes. You agree to hold adequate travel insurance to cover, most importantly, medical costs and cancellation expenses. Gerry can assist you with competitive travel insurance prices. Passports Please supply Onde with a copy of your passport details (Please ensure that your passport has at least 6 months validity beyond your return date (to at least the end of April 2017). Luggage Allowance The vehicle we are chartering for transport will only allow one regular size suitcase per person plus some hand luggage. Please ensure you restrict your packing to these requirements to avoid carriage problems at the time of travel.
