The Children's Day 18 August 2013, 11:00-16:00 hrs Marking the first anniversary of the Leighton Buzzard Children's Trail. Entertainment, arts & crafts and storytelling and a visit from a very special guest will take place at the Library on Lake Street from 11am before groups are taken on the Children's Trail, seeking out hidden works of art around the town from well known children's books with surprises and characters at various points. The end of the trail will finish in Parson s Close Recreation ground which will be transformed into a Mad Hatter s Tea Party with re-enactments of A Midsummer Night s Dream, music, inflatable rides, children's entertainers and magic shows plus characters from famous books and much, much more! Bring a picnic or enjoy food from the various food stalls available. Why not dress up as a character from your favourite book for a chance to win a prize! A great fun packed day out for all to enjoy. Past, Present, Future Market Day 22 September 2013, 11:00-16:00 hrs A time to celebrate our Market throughout the years. Join us for a trip down memory lane in our High Street with market stalls and entertainment representing periods through the ages. You will find tailors, weavers, basket makers, pottery, calligraphy and much more, plus cattle and animal racing and farmers market stalls. A show of the finest vintage stalls and mod cars and bikes, retro clothes and wood work. Plus a chance to meet some of our modern day traders. Amazing food stalls will be waiting to take your taste-buds on a journey back through time. Plus plenty of entertainment, things to do and see and look out for the Saxon re-enactment!
