International Floralies - Nantes Historical The event has been taking place every five years in Nantes, since 1956. Through the years, it has grown in popularity and every single edition is long-awaited by the visitors. International With a jury made of numerous nationalities, exhibitors coming from all over the world, partnerships with global tour operators and visitors travelling to attend the event, the Floralies Nantes is one of the most famous flower shows in Europe. Human An event gathering both professionals and amateurs, creating spectacular designs thanks to teams of volunteers working hard until sceneries are ready to be shown to a large audience composed of families, groups of friends, schools, Associative The Comité des Floralies is an association governed by its members, the event goal is to bring together people passionate with the plant world and offer a show demonstrating know-hows and creativity but also the beauty of plants. Prestigious The International Floralies Nantes event has received the High Patronage of the French Republic President and members of the French Government. Various celebrities have also inaugurated the different editions. Charming Located in a lovely environment, in the park that was specifically built for the event in 1971, alongside the Erdre River most beautiful French river according to King François the 1 st topped with a beautiful rose garden.

«Fleurs à vivre» - the 12 th edition «Flowers to live by» is a beautiful and poetic theme illustrating how flowers accompany mankind throughout all the different stages of life. Each hall will be transformed accordingly to a scenography, imagined in collaboration with landscape agencies. Visitors will be transported from world to world, taking them to various environments and sceneries, showing them diversity and richness of the Plant World. «If life is nothing more than a passage, let s at least sow flowers along it» - MONTAIGNE

International aspects Visitors Most international visitors mainly come from neighbor countries, with a majority from Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands or the UK. We also have international tour operators offering tours with a visit of the Floralies Nantes. Exhibitors It is important to us to represent diversity, whether it is amongst plants or people. This is why we work hard to get international people from all over the world (India, Russia, Korea, Peru, etc) to exhibit in the ornamental section. Jury In 2014, 30% of the jury was composed of international people, representing 9 different countries. They were assisted by young people studying international business and foreign languages.
