Passports We will be collecting passports and EHIC cards from every student between September and October. EHIC cards need to be applied for from www.nhs.uk
Medical Forms & Medication Medical Forms will be handed out in the first few weeks back in September. One copy will be held by staff in Paris, one copy will be with the school and one copy is held by the 24-hour emergency contact until our return.
Local Time Paris is one hour ahead of us
Emergency Please do not contact your child on the visit unless it is a real emergency. If you have to contact the party please notify the Whitworth contact first. If an emergency occurs abroad it will be handled by the Team Leader/ Tour Company and Lancashire County Council according to the rules and regulations specified. I will provide contact numbers closer to our departure. Parents will be informed by the council officers as soon as possible in the event of a grave emergency.
Mobiles I have no problem with students having mobile phones on the trip, but they are responsible for them at all times and should check they can use them in Paris with their operators. These must be covered by your own insurance. This is also the case for ipads, video cameras and portable DVD players.
Alcohol There will be strictly NO drinking allowed. Students found with alcohol or cigarettes will run the risk of being returned to the UK. This will incur a cost to the parents for their outward and return journey by flight.
Food The trip is half board including a buffet breakfast and evening meal. Please make sure you let me know of any dietary requirements. Students will need spending money for lunch time at Disneyland and money for service stations.
Money Exchange money into Euros. Students are responsible for their own money. They should not lend money to each other during the trip. Emergency money held by leader this is not there to replace lost or stolen student money. Whilst on the trip, staff will be prepared to look after students money but students will only be able to get this at breakfast and evening meals.

Handy Tips You might also want to take a small sleeping bag/blanket and a pillow. Take plenty of snacks and drinks (preferably water) for the journey. Take a plastic carrier with you so you can collect your rubbish and pop straight into the bin. The coach is yours for the duration of the tour and therefore you need to keep it clean and tidy. If possible take a large soft holdall rather than a hard suitcase as this packs easier into the coach holdall and is also much better for storage in your room. Pack a small bag to take with you for Disneyland on the second day. Important: Service stations in France charge to use their facilities so please bring some change.
