Dinner: Complimentary dinner with show (classical Thai dance). FEB 15: CANAL + GRAND PALACE + TEMPLE TOUR (B, L D) Morning, Canal tour. Lunch and Afternoon, tour to Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha + Temple tour Dinner: Overnight at the hotel in Bangkok. FEB 16: AYUTHAYA TOUR BY RIVER SUN CRUISE (B, L, D) Departure by air con coach for Ayuthaya tour. Return by boat: Lunch on board, Arrive at River City jetty then transfer to the hotel. Lunch in a restaurant. Visit a handicraft factory to see the manufacturing of lacquerware, weaving of Thai silk, paper umbrella making. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Chiang Mai. FEB 19: CHIANG MAI x BANGKOK SIEMREAP (B, L, D) Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Riep, via Bangkok. Arrive in Siem Reap Guide gives us Orientation tour of Siem Reap, visiting Les Chantiers Ecoles d'artisans workshop and showroom for local handicraft, the Old Market for souvenirs, and get acquainted with the town. Lunch at the hotel. Drive to the Rolous group temples of Lolei, Bakong and Preah Ko all built in the pre-angkor period (850-893) to see the precedents of the great Angkor period temples. Walk up Bakheng Hill at about 5pm to watch the sunset over Angkor Wat and the plains below from the ruins of Bakheng Temple to end the day. Dinner with cultural show at Kulen II Restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
FEB 20: ANGKOR THOM (B, L, D) Sightseeing of Angkor Thom, the great city located next to Angkor Wat. Lunch at Sampheap Restaurant and rest a while at the hotel. Afternoon tour of Preah Khan dedicated to Buddhism and Neak Pean, both built by Jayavarman VII, the latter a healing place, and a couple of the lesser temples if there is time for them. Dinner at the hotel or in a restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap. FEB 21: TOUR OF BANTEAY SREI, TA PHROM & ANGKOR WAT (B, L, D) Pick up at 9 a.m. to drive to the temple of Banteay Srei, 38 km from Siem Reap. It is the only pink sandstone temple exquisitely carved dated before Angkor Wat. Also visit Ta Phrom that is unrestored and left to the elements with giant trees embracing its stone works, giving Ta Phrom its unique character. Also visit Ta Keo, an 11th century sandstone temple dedicated to Shiva, Banteay Kdei in the image of Ta Phrom used as a monastery, Prasat Kravan and Sra Srang. Lunch at the Nests & Fins Restaurant and then return to hotel for a bit of rest. In the afternoon tour Angkor Wat located seven kilometres north of Siem Reap. Afternoon, tour to Angkor Wat represents the spiritual and mystical grandeur of the architecture. This place is probably the largest religious monument ever built on earth, and is considered one of the most inspiring. Angkor Wat was declared a world heritage site by the United Nations, and is regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap. FEB 22: GREAT LAKE / DEPARTURE (B, L, D) Breakfast at hotel. Morning boat trip on the Tonle Sap which is the largest fresh water source in all Southeast Asia - an ecological wonder, as the water of the Mekong River reverses itself to flood the lake and refertilizes the land, thereby ensuring a food source of fish for the people. See the floating gardens, floating villages and fishing boats at work. Visit a local village on the way to the Great Lake to see traditional rural life. Transfer to airport for your departure flight At Bangkok airport, meet and transfer to the hotel for check in. FEB 23: BANGKOK RIVER KWAI (B, L, D) Take the River Kwai daily tour: it includes floating market + small cruise on local boats on river Kwai + death railway ride. Lunch on board and back to Hotel Fresh n up and walk down to the local market for shopping and independence leisure. Dinner at discretion at the hotel or a local restaurant.
