MONACO YACHT SHOW 2015 Living up to the title as the yachting capital of the world, Fort Lauderdale, Florida will once again play host to the largest boat show in the world running from November 5th - 9th this year. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will cover three million square feet of space both in water and on land. FEADSHIP SHIPYARD There are yachts and there are Feadships! VENUS 260 (79m) Feadship Feadship Yachts is a combination of two Dutch shipyards who started independently and joined together in 1949. The Van Lent and De Vries families were founders of this venerable shipyard. The Feadship name comes from an acronym for the First Export Association of Dutch Shipbuilders. Major marketing of Feadship began post World War II in the United States, where an active market for pleasure and luxury yachts was emerging. Feadship produces completely custom displacement motoryachts, which have ranged from 70 feet, to their largest to date, the 324 foot MADAME GU. On average five large yachts are launched annually.
