You achieve an Award by completing a personal program of activities in four sections: Volunteering: undertaking service to individuals or the community. Physical: improving in an area of sport, dance or fitness activities. Skills: developing practical and social skills and personal interests. The DofE is Expedition: planning, training for and completion of an adventurous journey in the UK or abroad.

Equipment School have equipment that students can borrow during the term when the expeditions run. First Aid Kit All DofE students need to carry a personal 1 st Aid Kit All students should have had their 1 st aid Training and have received the DofE recommended list. You do not have to spend lots.
Navigation Walk Planning to do this after School in part of the training sessions. Students will need to be in clothes suitable for the weather and their walking boots Require a day pack Snacks, 1 st aid Kit and water. Be back at school by 5.30pm

PHONES Students are not permitted to use phones over the weekends. Students will be allowed their phones with them but they should be turned off and in their bags for emergency use only. If found using them on the Qualifying they will not be able to count the expedition towards their award No GOOGLE MAPS!
