2. Benefits for Airlines & Agents IATA EasyPay will create numerous benefits for the industry. The main benefits for Agents and Airlines are presented below. Benefits of IATA EasyPay for Agents Funding Alternatives New Accreditation Models Reduced Bank Guarantees Reconcile Easy to Use Additional Payment Type Credit to Agents* Mobile* Funding alternatives: Agents will be able to fund their IATA EasyPay ewallet through various methods such as bank transfer, direct debit, credit/debit card (availability will depend on the country). Additional: IATA EasyPay will provide Agents with another form of payment for issuance of tickets via the BSP. Importantly, IATA EasyPay is voluntary to use and will not replace either BSP Cash or the customer s Credit Card as forms of payment. Easy: Creation of the IATA EasyPay account online will be simple and straightforward. As well, IATA EasyPay will be easy for Agents to use in their day-to-day operations for issuance of transactions. Moreover, funds loaded into an IATA EasyPay account can easily be retrieved as long as they have not been applied against a ticket. Access to new accreditation models: As mentioned above, IATA EasyPay will enable the Standard Accreditation with No Cash Facility, allowing more agents to participate in the BSP. Reduction of Financial Securities and Bank Guarantees: As IATA EasyPay is a secure form of payment, sales made on this form of payment will not be included in the Agents Financial Security calculation. The more Agents use IATA EasyPay in future, the more Agents will be able to lower their financial security amount required by IATA. Page 2 of 10

Ease of reconciliation: Each transaction issued using IATA EasyPay will be linked to an individual EP number, facilitating the reconciliation process. Mobile: IATA EasyPay will work on in multiplatform (Computer, Tablet, Mobile APP) in order to facilitate Agent access. Credit: In some countries, Agents will have access to a credit line provided by the EasyPay supplier. Benefits of IATA EasyPay for Airlines Secure: For transactions issued with IATA EasyPay, funds will be secured at the time of issuance, with no possibility of chargebacks. The closed-loop system will also work with singleuse numbers to further improve security. Flexible: Airlines will be able to opt out of IATA EasyPay on a market by market basis. Fast: Airlines will receive settlements for IATA EasyPay transactions daily, 48 to 72 hours following issuance. This will accelerate the cash flow to airlines relative to other forms of payment. Global: IATA EasyPay to be available in all 151 BSPs worldwide. Economical: IATA EasyPay will operate on a fixed and reduced cost per transaction. It will work on a cost recovery basis with no margin for IATA. Ease of reconciliation: With its specific form of payment, different from Cash or Credit Card, IATA EasyPay transactions will be easy for Airlines to reconcile. Page 3 of 10

5. IATA EasyPay Account Opening, Ticket Issuance and Airline Settlement & Reconciliation The below provides an overview of the end-to-end process for IATA EasyPay process. Account Opening The Travel Agent opens an EasyPay account online under its Travel Agency name with the applicable EasyPay supplier. Only one supplier will be available per country. The Travel Agent can fund its IATA EasyPay account through bank transfer, direct debit, credit/debit card or other available funding methods. The availability of funding methods will depend on the country. The funds loaded into the IATA EasyPay account belong to the Travel Agent until an amount is blocked upon ticket issuance. Unblocked funds can be withdrawn by Agent from EasyPay account at any time. The IATA EasyPay system will create EasyPay numbers to be used during the transaction authorization process. Opening EasyPay ewallet account - illustrative Page 6 of 10

Ticket Issuance To issue an e-ticket, the Travel Agent will use EP as the form of payment via the GDS, inserting its EasyPay number. A Payment authorization request will be sent by the GDS to the EasyPay system. If sufficient funds are available in the Travel Agent s IATA EasyPay account, such funds will be blocked and ticket issuance will proceed. If funds are not available and the authorization is rejected, then the ticket cannot be issued using IATA EasyPay as the form of payment. For more transactions & flow charts, please refer to IATA EasyPay Handbook. Ticket Issuance process - illustrative Airline Settlement & Reconciliation The GDS will report to IATA all tickets issued on the daily RET files, including IATA EasyPay transactions. IATA s Data Processing Centers will calculate the IATA EasyPay amounts to be transferred to each airline and issue the daily HOT files with the respective EasyPay transactions. IATA will receive the funds owing from the IATA EasyPay suppliers and then transfer the IATA EasyPay amounts due to each airline Airlines will be able to reconcile their IATA EasyPay payments with the tickets issued using the Daily HOT files. Page 7 of 10

Airline Settlement & Reconciliation - illustrative 6. IATA EasyPay Q&A Is IATA EasyPay a standard? No, IATA EasyPay is an industry payment method that IATA has developed, in close collaboration with various governance groups, for the issuance of transactions via the BSP. However, a Technical Advisory Group with Agent, Airline and GDS participants has been established to explore, among other things, the creation of a standard for the introduction of payment solutions in the BSP. Does an Agent need to change its bank account to use IATA EasyPay? No, IATA EasyPay is a dedicated online ewallet which can be funded from any bank. Who bears the IATA EasyPay transaction costs? IATA EasyPay transactions will have a fixed cost per SCU, paid by the airlines. As part of defining its commercial strategy, each Airline will determine whether to absorb the IATA EasyPay transaction costs, to transfer/surcharge these to Travel Agents, or to incentivize the use of EasyPay. Is there a cost for Agents to maintain an IATA EasyPay account? There is no cost for Agents to open or maintain an IATA EasyPay account. However, Agents will choose how to fund their IATA EasyPay accounts and will bear any costs, if applicable. These costs, if any, will depend on the funding method selected and applicable country. Page 8 of 10

What is the IATA EasyPay SCU cost, and does it apply per ticket or per segment? The IATA EasyPay cost is applicable per transaction (ticket) not per segment. The IATA EasyPay cost has been calculated at ~0.53USD. Since each EasyPay supplier has a slightly different cost, this is an average, weighted cost. The final cost will depend on the total volumes per supplier. Can IATA EasyPay transactions be voided? Refunded? Yes. The refund and void processes for IATA EasyPay transactions will be the same as for transactions issued using other forms of payment. In the event of voids, the funds will be unblocked in the Agent s IATA EasyPay account. Refunds may be processed either directly in the GDS or indirectly via BSPlink, and the funds will be credited back to the same IATA EasyPay account used for issuance. How will ADMs issued against IATA EasyPay transactions be processed? ADMs raised against IATA EasyPay transactions will be processed no differently from other ADMs. The ADM value will be billed as a BSP Cash amount which the Agent will remit to the BSP. How will IATA EasyPay transactions be identified? IATA EasyPay transactions will be identifiable from BSP Cash and CC sales on the billing reports and HOT files by their distinct form of payment type EP. How will IATA prevent money laundering with IATA EasyPay? AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance is of foremost concern for IATA. There will be controls in place such as with respect to the transfer of funds in/out of the IATA EasyPay wallet to prevent money laundering. IATA s compliance officer is currently working with the suppliers in finalizing these requirements. Page 9 of 10
