From the President-Elect Dear Valued Industry Partner, On behalf of the Indiana School Nutrition Association, I would like to welcome you to join us at the 64 th Annual State Conference being held at the Century Center in South Bend, Indiana from November 9 th through the 11 th. We look forward to a new venue and a very successful conference. I hope you will choose to be part of what makes the Annual State Conference a success! The theme this year is Ignite Your Appetite! The professional development committees are hard at work planning the breakout sessions that will be a growing experience for our membership. Dynamic general session speakers have been scheduled for this year s conference that will ignite and motivate ISNA members. Some exciting changes this year include... Culinary Bites A new and exciting opportunity for our membership this year is Culinary Bites (replacing Culinary Exchange). Culinary Bites will offer short interactive bites (sessions) of hands on culinary training sessions. Our membership has requested more hands-on training opportunities and we feel this will be a great addition to the Annual Conference lineup. ISNA/SNA Awards ISNA Award winners will be recognized on Saturday, November 11th. Changing this recognition from the Spring Seminar to Annual Conference will allow those being recognized to be honored in front of a larger group of their peers. We also hope that this recognition will make more members aware of the award nomination opportunity. So many of our members stand to receive special recognition! The winners of this past year s Industry Advisory Council Scholarship to ANC will also be announced as we value your support of our members more than you know! Chinese Auction Members have asked for the return of the Chinese Auction and we have listened. The ISNA Regional Representatives will be requesting donations for this popular event. The money raised during this event will be used for a scholarship to the 2018 ISNA Annual Conference. If you would like to donate, please contact Sheri at sheri@indianasna.org. We continually strive to make our partnership with our industry members as valuable as possible. As you can see, we continue to evolve and grow based on our industry and membership feedback to make the ISNA Annual Conference as valuable as it can possibly be for all involved. Again this year we will provide two evenings of entertainment to include a Local Indiana Tasting Reception on Thursday and Fun Pianos on Friday! We encourage industry to attend these events as they provide time for extra networking with your customers as well as potential new customers. We also welcome back the Innovations Stations and an exclusive conference mobile app. Last year the mobile app was very well received as it is a fantastic tool both during and after conference. This year s app is new and improved and provides more interaction with our attendees so as to encourage increased use! Many of our sponsorship opportunities, including a Badge Game Sponsorship, will increase traffic to your booth! You can also purchase a text message sponsorship which would allow you to have a message sent out to all attendees using the app. The exhibit hall at the Century Center is no stranger to large food/vendor shows, so accommodating all of our wonderful vendors will not be a problem. With your continued feedback we will once again offer the exhibit hall for one day as well as continuing with the Director/Buyer only hour. There are numerous exciting sponsorship opportunities this year. As always, your generosity allows ISNA to provide quality programs to our members, while also giving industry a valuable marketing platform. Sponsorships are listed in your packet and you can sign up during the registration process. ISNA would like to sincerely thank you for your interest, partnership and support! We hope to see you in November at the beautiful Century Center in the heart of South Bend, IN. Sincerely, Martha Silverthorn ISNA President-Elect & Conference Chair
