Family Fun Special Events Z DAY: ZOMBIES ATTACK October 25th, 2014 Regional Park Check in: 3:00p Rules: 3:30p Game: 4p-7p Ages: 16 and up Cost: $10 per participant Weapons: Nerf guns, water guns, and/or socks More info: bdavis@ardmorecity.org Chigger Chase Come run in the 19th Annual Chigger Chase run at Ardmore Regional Park. A Holiday run through the Christmas Lights on Saturday November 22. Children will chase the Chigger in the 1/4 and 1/2 mile fun runs. If you think you can catch the Speedy Chigger you should do the 5K run! There is also a 1 mile fun run or walk. You can register online at www.chiggerchase.net, the Parks and Recreation office, Chamber of Commerce or YMCA Christmas Tree Lighting Bring the family and join us at the Christmas Tree Lighting Tuesday December 2 at Central Park then stay for the Parade of Lights! Remember to shop Ardmore this Holiday Season!! Santa s Workshop Santa will be in town Friday December 5 and Saturday December 6 at his Workshop in Ardmore Regional Park. After the Festival of Lights stop by to get a picture with Santa, make a couple of gifts for a loved one and enjoy some homemade goodies. Santa is so busy he will only be in town 6pm 10pm. (goodies and pictures will have a small fee) Festival of Lights Ardmore s drive-thru Festival of Lights display located in Regional Park opens Saturday November 22 following the Chigger Chase and closes Tuesday December 30 Time: Sunday-Thursday 6p-10p Friday Saturday 6p-11p Donations accepted at the end You can also drop off Toys for Tots 8

Family Fun Special Events Breakfast with Santa Santa is coming to town eat breakfast with you! Saturday December 13th from 9am to 11 am at the HFV Community Center. Remember to be good and not naughty he will checking his list for good boys and girls. Cost: $3 per person for breakfast $5 picture with Santa MLK Day Parade and Celebration Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream that one day blacks and whites would come together as one So come and celebrate his dream with us on Saturday January 19, 2015. The celebration will begin at 9am with a parade starting at Central Park and ending at the HFV Wilson Community Center with a program. Registration for the parade is necessary for planning. You can register at the HFV Wilson Community Center or at online at www.funinardmore.org. Black History Bowl February is Black History month! Get your 4 person team ready to compete on Monday February 23, 2015 in our Jeopardy style Black History Bowl at 6pm at the HFV Wilson Community Center. No charge to play Space is limited register your team early 9

Special Features Ardmore Sk8 Park The Ardmore Sk8 Park, located on the east side of Regional Park, is one of the three largest skate parks in Oklahoma. The Ardmore Sk8 Park covers 16,000 square feet. It offers a very unique challenge to skateboarders, skaters and bikers. Ardmore Regional Dog Park Ardmore s Dog Park provides a safe environment for pet owners to unleash their dogs to let them exercise and socialize freely without disrupting the activities of others. The park includes water fountains for dogs and owners, doggie waste station, agility toys and shade for dogs and owner. Clearview & Rosehill Cemeteries The Cemetery division, of the Parks and Recreation Department maintains the grounds, coordinates Burials; and openings and closings of graves as well as the opening and closing of graves at St. Mary s and Mt. The clubhouse facility, putting greens, the slick undulating Bentgrass greens and Bermuda fairways make Lakeview Golf Course one of the best in the area.
