What to pack in your main luggage We are only going for 2 days so not much is needed! Bring a pair of shorts and a pair of long trousers, a couple of T-shirts and a jumper, sun hat and a waterproof jacket Sun screen Comfortable footwear for visiting places and a change of footwear for indoors Nightwear Shampoo Toothpaste / toothbrush Soap/shower gel Book / pack of cards (something to do when you want to be a little quieter!) Ipod + charger Hairdryer travel adaptor Please DO NOT bring a large suitcase we will not be able to store it. A small case / rucksack will be fine. Also bring a small rucksack for use during the day to take onto the coach for the journey. Accommodation We are staying at the following hotel: Meininger Hotel, Quai du Hainait 33 (Molenbeek) 1080 Brussels Belgium Packed Lunch Please bring a healthy packed lunch + fruit + bottle of water / soft drink for the journey on your first day. PLEASE DO NOT BRING FIZZY DRINKS, BARS OF CHOCOLATE AND SWEETS AND CRISPS THE CHILDREN WILL BE EXCITED ENOUGH!
Money The Belgian currency is euros and you will only need a little spending money (20 euros maximum YOU WILL NEED TO BUY LUNCH ON THE SECOND DAY). Please change your money in England beforehand and also take a little English money in case we are delayed at the Eurotunnel. The money you have paid includes breakfast, dinner and accommodation. Phoning Home You are welcome to take your mobile phone but check that you can use it abroad, and be aware that it is expensive to use. Insurance Everyone is fully insured through the school s insurance policy supplied by Endsleigh. However, we also require everyone to have an EHIC card. The Tour Company Halsbury Travel Behaviour This is a school trip and therefore students are expected to behave in a sensible, reasonable and polite manner. Smoking, alcohol, illegal substances and fireworks/bangers are strictly forbidden. Students must comply with all laws, customs and regulations including those enforced by the hotel and the coach operators. Any damage caused to properties being used by the school party will be the sole responsibility of that person/group. Priory School staff will not be responsible for any costs incurred due to such action. The coach will leave for Calais at 5.20 am. We cannot wait for pupils that are late.
