Infrastructure Initiatives 4 Elevated Expressway - Ongoing It is a signal-free expressway, connecting flyover to BIAL. Connecting total distance of 20 km. The stretch is developed in packages, the first package comprises of a stretch of elevated expressway of 4 km, another package of four underpasses and two flyovers. The total project cost is INR 680 Crore. As per the timelines issued by Navayuga, the Elevated Express is expected to be operational by October 2013 Bellary Road Widening - Ongoing Bellary road is being widened to a 90 meters (300 ft) road NHAI Road Widening Elevated Expressway from junction to International Airport. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had issued a gazette notification (under section 3A of National Highway Act, 1956) on October 2009 subject to acquisition of land on either side of Bellary road. Road widening is expected to be completed by end of 2013 High Speed Rail Link- Proposed Planned to connect between MG road and International Airport currently in planning stages and is awaiting approval from the center
