Gelmer Adventure Erlebnis Gelmerbahn The Gelmerbahn s funicular line is one of the most audacious works of the Pioneer Era. With its 10% incline, it is the steepest funicular in Europe. The ride up in the nostalgic wooden wagon, which is an exact replica of the original wagon, will take you up to the base of this impressive 120m high waterfall. And what a contrast: the cows graze in the valley below, and the Sustenstrasse, a historical route and one of the most beautiful mountain pass roads in all of Switzerland, weaves its way through the Gadmerfluh. But today reaching the summit of the cliff is on the agenda. Abenteuer Trift Trift Adventure The cableway glides through the deep gorge at Gadmental up to the Trift region: a region that astounds each and every mountaineer. So much untouched nature, the chance to get close to something so special. Water displays its elemental power, roaring down Hovering, as though weightless. into the gorge. High above the precipice, the Triftbrücke footbridge crosses the 170m divide. Its weightless elegance and beauty are fascinating, although it does take some courage to walk along it. 20 Hikers are rewarded with staggering views of the turquoise glacial lake and the edge of the glacier. Free to choose your own path through the Trift, you can opt for à la carte, taking the direct path to the alpine hut or travelling first to the Triftbücke and joining the path there, depending on your fitness and your head for heights! Adventure Sidelhorn/Oberaar Oberaar Adventure The new Sidelhorn aerial cable car opens up a new dimension and enables you to glide weightlessly over the storage dam and take in the magnificent high alpine landscape. The new Sidelhorn cable car belongs to the KWO Power Company and, up until now, was only used to access company installations. It is now open to the public and takes you up to the foot of the Mt. Sidelhorn from where well signed hiking routes await. The hike to the top of the Sidelhorn is well worth the effort with wonderful views of the huge ice masses of the Lauteraar and Oberaar glaciers, storage lakes and impressive mountains. Berghaus Tälli Aare Gorge Aventure A miracle of nature. 1400 meters long, 200 meters deep. 24 The Aar Gorge marks the gateway to Grimselwelt. The river has eaten its way through the limestone over thousands of years. Visitors can follow its course in wonder, tracing the path of the river along a walkway, traversing bridges and tunnels through the gorge. It is an imposing spectacle, with nature in the starring role.
