Guest Speaker David Peterson will be our speaker at the meeting. Dave was one of the pilots who set time-to-climb records in the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle in 1975. Club Event 1: Young Eagles Activity: Provide air and ground support for the monthly Young Eagles flying event Date: Saturday, September 16th, 2017 Location: San Carlos Airport, Terminal next to Sky Kitchen Event Time: 10AM 12 Noon, for Young Eagles flights Check-in Time Pilots: 0930-0945 Pilots & Aircraft Check-in Time Volunteers: 0900 Help setup (some folks come earlier and that s OK) Duties Pilots: We had (3-pilots/aircraft last time) and airlifted 32 young eagles, more is always appreciated. Duties Volunteers: Event operations = registration, organize flights, log-book update, certificate printing, ground safety crew (We had about 10 folks helping out last time, not including Airport Ground Ops). Coordinators: Oliver Coolidge & Don Cooper Please e-mail your availability to support the 9/16/17 Young Eagles Event to the following individuals: Oliver Coolidge (olivercoolidge@gmail.com) & Don Cooper (thermaldon@gmail.com) Current Status as of 9/5/17: So far, have (1-pilot confirmation (B. Leuten), still need more pilots to confirm and ground crew support.

Club Event 2: San Carlos Airport Day Activity: Support EAA CH20 Informational Booth; (No Young Eagles or Airport Day rides for this event). Date: Saturday, September 30 th, 2017 Location: San Carlos Airport Event Time: 10AM 3PM Check-in Time Volunteers: 0900 0930 help setup the booth Note: See the Volunteer Sign-up & time slot spreadsheet sent by Elizabeth D. on (8/26/17).
