3 2 - FIRST STEPS IN FRANCE: ARRIVAL! WHERE TO ARRIVE DEPENDING ON THE STAY? Upon his/her arrival in Nice International airport, your child will be met by our representative who will be wearing a yellow CIA T-shirt. We are offering several shared transfers during the day (approximately 2 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon). That means that before being transferred to the campus, your child may have to wait, the time to gather students arriving via other incoming flights (2 hours maximum). Your child will be supervised by a member of our staff during any waiting time spent at the airport. TRAIN STATION : A member of our staff will be present at the exit of the train station to welcome your child and ensure his/her transfer to the campus/residences. If your child experiences any difficulties upon arrival, please ask him/her to go to the information desk at Arrivals or Departures and ask to contact us on this emergency number: (33) (0)4 92 90 71 70 It is compulsory that you provide us no later than the 2 weeks before your child s arrival, the details of his arrival (time, flight number or train number, where he is arriving, Unaccompanied Minor UM service). IF YOUR CHILD IS TRAVELLING AS AN UNACCOMPANIED MINOR ( UM SERVICE): Your child will be picked up from the air hostess by one of our staff. We will let you know the name at the reservation. It is essential that you provide that name to the airline in order for your child to be handed over to our team. We will not be able to guarantee the presence of our manager on the ground if you haven t subscribed to the UM service pick up 2 weeks before your child s arrival. Please make sure to complete the UM file and pay the service with the airline for your child s return journey.
CENTRE 3 - ON THE GROUND ORGANISATION RECEPTION THE DAY OF ARRIVAL On their arrival on campus/residence, the students will be welcomed by our animation team that will provide them with a welcome pack including: The program for the weekly activities Their student card with the emergency number available 24/7 A coloured bracelet depending on their activity group Our school rules (that they must sign) Then our animation team will accompany them to their rooms. Finally, a guided visit of the campus as well as a welcome evening will allow them to discover the place and the other students. 5 CENTRE ANIMATION PROGRAM The activity program is adapted to the age of the student (8-12 years and 13-17 years). The excursions and animations included in the package are compulsory for 8-12 y.o. and not compulsory but highly recommended for 13-17 y.o. In addition, the animation team suggests paying activities each week (Go Karting, Bowling, Laser quest, etc ). You must complete the parent permission form attached in order of your child to be able to participate. SHUTTLES (SUMMER CAMPUS) The school organises daily shuttle buses to allow the students to move around from the campus to the city centre and the beaches. Depending on the distance from the campus, the frequency of the shuttles changes but we organise them to ensure that the students can make the most of their free time. During the day: between 1:00pm and 7:00pm from Monday to Friday and from 9am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. During the evening: between 8:30pm and 11:00pm on Tuesday or Wednesday and between 8:30pm to 1:00 am on Friday, Saturday and the eve of public holidays. Note: Specific schedules are displayed on the campus. ROOM ACCESS Access to the rooms depends on the schedule posted on the campus. In general, rooms are closed: FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY From 8:15am to 12:00pm: during French lessons From 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm: during the activities/excursions From 8:30 pm to 10:15 pm: during the evenings ON WEEKENDS From 9:30 am to 5:00 pm: during full day excursion / free day From 8:30 pm to 10:15 pm: during the evenings ACCESS TO THE POOL Pool use is subject to the schedule on display on campus/residence, and is used under supervision.
6 CENTRE OUTINGS All outings are strictly controlled by our animators and covered by parental permission. The conditions of the permission to leave depend on the age of the child. 8-12 YEARS : Outings only under supervision. Accompanied excursions and thematic events are proposed by our teams. 13-17 YEARS : Student automatically benefit from a permission to leave unaccompanied from the end of courses until 7:30pm. 16-17 YEARS : The parents must decide to give or not their through the permission form to go out non-accompanied at night following the below restrictions: 1 night per week (Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the centre) until 11pm Friday and Saturday nights as well as the eve of public holidays until 1am. IMPORTANT Please complete and sign the form «permission to go out» on page 11. RULES OF THE SCHOOL Your child must respect the rules of the school. We reserve the right to take the necessary steps, going from a warning to different sanctions, towards the student who does not respect the rules. Any consumption of alcohol or drugs is prohibited as per French law. It is also forbidden to smoke in the school buildings. We have put in place smoking areas in different places of the campus, in order to control students consumption. Not respecting the rules regarding drugs, alcohol, violence, theft, verbal or physical aggression, might lead to expulsion. In case of expulsion, parents will be informed and have 24h after the incident to pro vide the new departure details.
7 CENTRE SERVICES MAILS In order for your child to receive mail, it is important to respect the following template: Mr./Miss (Student surname and name) Centre International d Antibes Full postal address of the Residence or Office (for summer campus only) - see addresses on page 9. PRECIOUS OBJECTS It is recommended to check that your child does not have any valuable belongings on him/her. The head of the school can keep sealed for the entire length of the trip passports or travel tickets on simple demand. In no way does the school accept cash, checks or any other type of payment method. The school is not responsible for any eventual theft amongst students. HOUSEKEEPING Rooms are completely cleaned once a week (on Saturday). Sheets are also changed once a week. A quick clean up takes place every day but can t be compared to hotel housekeeping in anyway. Students are asked daily to keep their room tidy and bed done. SHEET AND TOWELS Sheets : Provided Towels : Not provided Laundry in the residence (2-4 on average per wash). MEDICAL VISITS It is possible that your child may need a medical visit. The cost of the visit is his/her responsibility and immediately paid to the doctor who comes to visit him or whom he/she visited: Estimated price for a doctor who comes to see the patient: 45 Estimated price for a visit to a general practice doctor: 23 Estimated price for a visit to a specialised doctor: 45 HOSPITAL STAYS To avoid having to pay upfront all of the costs, if you live in the European Union, your child will have to present a form named European Health Insurance Card. If you don t live within the European Union, you must pay of all the costs of your child before he is released from hospital, then you can contact your health insurance for a refund. POCKET MONEY We recommend 80 to 100 per week pocket money for the students. Please note that there are 50 administration fees if you want to send money to your child through the school.

All 13-17 y.o. students are automatically authorized to go out unaccompanied from the end of the courses until 7:30pm.
