nelmediaxxx 7 posts since Mar 20, 2008 I cannot seem to get answer from the conference provider on why I do no have confirmation of my hotel room at the Venetian. I sent an email to them last week with no reply. I tried calling them twice and left a voicemail once since no one answered. Ha anyone gotten their confirmations? Aug 19, 2008 1:42 PM This is what I found on the FAQ. My understanding after today ( the 19th ) is when we should start receiveng the Hotel confirmation. If I do not see something by Monday I plan on just calling the Hotel to confirm. An email acknowledgment of your conference registration will be sent to you after you register. You will receive final confirmation, including your hotel reservation, approximately four weeks prior to the conference date. ksv3inks 1 posts since 1
Aug 12, 2008 3. Re: Hotel or no hotel? Aug 19, 2008 2:06 PM I did not see confirmation on mine either. I called the reservation number, sure enough, they didn't have record of it. They did not have rooms available for all the nights I need, just M- F...so I'm at the Mirage for those nights & have to book the additional nights separately. My suggestion: Call the reservation line before there are no rooms left! freddie007 4 posts since Apr 8, 2008 4. Re: Hotel or no hotel? Aug 19, 2008 2:48 PM I just spoke with a Venetion Hotel reservation clerk and she told me that no reservations have been submitted from Vmworld but today was the cutoff and they will be getting them soon. Once this is done confirmations will go out. This goes inline with what we were told from the start. Hopefully this is the case and I'm not trying to find a Hotel room at the last moment. With all the rooms in Vegas I doubt this would be a problem but I want to stay close to the conference. Curtis Weldon 2 posts since Jul 11, 2008 5. Re: Hotel or no hotel? My travel schedule has changed and do not even know the checkin and check out times. Hope they respond properly. Reflects very bad on part of the organisers to be like this. Bob Berman 1 posts since Jun 2, 2008 8. Re: Hotel or no hotel? Relax already. Aug 24, 2008 10:16 PM in response to: ARUNACHALAM S How does it reflect badly if they are doing as they said they would? This is Las Vegas, check in times are VERY flexible. Even in some strange situation that you would not be able to check into the hotel, VMWorld will have a baggage storage area where you can keep your bags if you come directly there from the airport for a nominal fee of a few dollars per bag. I was able to do this for EMC World a few months ago as my flight came in during the early stages of day 2 and I did not want to miss more than I already had to. 3
Relax and enjoy the conference, and Las Vegas. No need to be stressed out about something like this. nelmediaxxx 7 posts since Mar 20, 2008 9. Re: Hotel or no hotel? Relax already. Aug 25, 2008 6:20 AM in response to: Bob Berman Um, Bob, the point of the post is that we don't even know if we EVEN HAVE hotel rooms in the first place. Aug 25, 2008 9:40 AM I had to book my hotel room at the Venetian through the Venetian's website. I couldnt book it when i registered for VM World, and when i call The Venetian (some time before August 15th) i was told that there were no more rooms available at the VMWorld rate... I have to admit im a little irritated.. But its not my dime. 4

Sep 10, 2007 15. Re: Hotel or no hotel? Aug 27, 2008 9:18 AM in response to: Chad Maupin Are you talking about prices being cheaper online for The Venetian? I don't think so. I booked my nights (Sun-Fri) through VMworld website at $219 a night. I am getting in on Saturday and needed to add a night, The Venetian wanted to charge me $399, I got them down to $299. You can easily get hotel cheaper off the strip, but not a The Venetian. jlauer 4 posts since Sep 10, 2007 16. Re: Hotel or no hotel? May 8, 2008 18. Re: Hotel or no hotel? Sep 3, 2008 7:50 PM so, some people got their room booked but I called both vmware and hotel (the Mirage) and they both told me that they don't have a room for me yet! It only two weeks left and getting to worry little bit. Austin Keith Caines 16 posts since May 4, 2008 19. Re: Hotel or no hotel? Sep 4, 2008 10:03 AM in response to: Austin Kim I second that - I booked my Venetian room through the VMworld site almost 4 weeks ago and no here it is September 4th and the Venetian has no record of my booking. All I have is a Cartooney Vmworld Invoice as proof that I have booked my room. I am getting a bit nervous as well. I really don't want any mix ups. I was told to call the venetian 5 days before my stay - but I feel this is unacceptable. Especially since I will have to somehow link my reservations made directly through the Vmworld site and reservations made on the Venetian site. YUCK... I can sense a bad taste in my mouth within the next couple weeks.. 9

When I hadn't heard anything last week, I emailed VMWorld. They said don't panic unless you haven't heard after 9/12. That's a little close for comfort on my end, so I called the Venetian yesterday and all was well. Then, about 20 minutes later, I got a hotel confirmation from VMWorld. Just FYI.
