W E L C O M E MAC Camps for 16 years has offered an extensive diversity of activities for children 3-16 years of age. Our staff continue to expand their leadership abilities to ensure a positive experience for every camper. It is our sincere goal to provide a fun and safe environment to allow each camper to make memories that last a lifetime. SUMMER 2018 CAMPS Dave Colby has been the Director of MAC Camps for 16 years. He organizes a team of 20 professional tennis staff, swim instructors and adventure staff that is made up of many who grew up at our camp and that have gone through our leadership pathway. Our staff is like a family because of the longevity of our team. My First Camp Half Day Sessions 9am-12:30pm Monday-Friday Age 3 by camp start My First Camp is the perfect little camp for your 3 year old! This is a camp run by our most experienced staff and provides a 4 to 1 staff/camper ratio. Campers have an age appropriate mix of activites that include athletic skill play, water play (but not in pool), tennis, crafts, dramatic play, jungle gym, storytime, snack and lunch periods. My First Camp also takes part in the camp wide theme days and special events. Our flexible schedule allows you to register for one day or consecutive halfdays and your 3 year old will love the MFC! Half Day members @ $60. non-members @ $69. Kids Camp Half Day Sessions 9am-12:30pm Monday-Friday Full Day Sessions 9am-4pm Monday-Friday age 4-7 Kids Camp is the classic traditional day camp for your 4-7 year old child. This camp features RED court Tennis Play and Swim Instruction daily. Our Kids Camp weaves a variety of other super fun activities in your camper s half or full day to keep your kids having fun in the summer sun, like our giant waterslide, arts and crafts & multi-sport play. Blue Sky Adventure Camp Full Weekly Sessions 9am-4pm Monday-Friday age 7-13 Blue Sky Adventure Camp invites all campers to pursue and achieve personal growth through group challenges and individual success. This is a uniquely designed camp that uses MAC s beautiful 35 acres of wilderness as part of the adventure. Bugle call! All gather round the flag for the morning announcements. BSAC features team challenges on our 14 element low ropes course and high elements course that inlcudes a Zip Line, Flying Squirrel and the biggest Swing Shot in New England. Campers participate in a variety of activities geared to their age and abilities: Challenge Course, Archery, Kayaking, Field Games, Tennis Blitz, Mountain Biking, Team Building, Water Games, Swimming, Basketball, Floor Hockey, Capture the Flag, Hiking, Adventure Games, Theme Days, Special Events and even Weekly Field Trips. Our Weekly Field Trips take campers to the places kids want to go and often include surprise stops for ice cream on the way! Our 10-13 year old campers have a weekly off-site kayak trip. Every Friday is Pizza Friday. All of our veteran staff members introduce campers to age appropriate FUN activities while encouraging them to stretch their limits and try something new. We value self-esteem building opportunities and promote leadership as a rule. Each week we will explore a character quality, such as creativity or perserverance and that quality will be expressed through activities througout the week. Tennis Day Camp Daily Half Day Sessions 9am-1:30pm Monday-Friday Weekly Full Day Sessions 9am-4pm Monday-Friday age 7-12 TENNIS CAMP is crazy fun for kids that are just learning to play the game or are on the Red, Orange and Green pathway to get to the next level. We train the players through progressions of skills practiced by slow feeding, racket feeding and live ball. We progress through all of the shots in the game every full week of camp. Every day we have a theme practice and technical focus in the morning and live ball games and Match play in the PM. Daily Sessions allow for off-court fun, swimming, capture the flag, knockout & more! Full Day Sessions mean more court time, swimming, and other choice activities. Weekly Half Day members @ $295. non-members @ $345. Weekly Full Day members @ $360. non-members @ $410. age 10-12 ACADEMY MIX CAMP is for players that have already began playing GREEN Tournaments. This camp features morning drilling, point-play and an afternoon academy day. Full Day Sessions 9am-4pm Monday-Friday Daily Full Day members @ $ 125. non-members @ $ 132. MAC+Sailing Combo ONE WEEK ONLY July 23-27 Monday-Friday 9am-4pm age 7-13 MAC + Manchester Sailing Association will provide great activities with sailing. Campers age 10-13 will sail from Tucks Point in the AM and enjoy Adventure/Tennis choice at the MAC in the PM. Campers age 7-9 start at the MAC and learn to sail in the PM. On Wednesday July 27 all campers will take the field trip to Canobie Lake Park. 4 MAC SUMMER CAMPS 2018 One Week Only July 23-27 @ $450.
Teen Camps MAC offers three Special Teen Camps this Summer! TEENS age 13+ TEEN TENNIS CAMP Week of June 25-29 Week of July 9-13 Week of August 13-17 Teen Tennis Camps will run for three weeks this Summer in June, July and August. The Camp is for players 13 plus who want to sharpen their skills on the court. This Camp runs from 9:00am-1:30pm. TEENS age 13-16 TEEN TRIP & COMMUNITY SERVICE CAMP Week of August 6-10 This Camp runs for one week this Summer and blends a fun week of trips and community service projects. Campers will be participating in 4 half day trips to Laser Quest, Sea Kayaking, and 2 Beach Days and one full day trip to the Ipswich River for a Canoe trip. The remaining (4) half days will be community service experiences. Community service that we have done in the past includes, working at food pantry, yard clean-up and house clean-up for elderly. Each day will provide a different experience of good works and play. Campers should anticipate getting about 16 hours of community service with this camp. SPACE IS LIMITED. 9:00am-4:00pm daily. TEENS age 14-16 TEEN LEADERS PROGRAM Orientation June 25-29 and runs all summer This program is for teens ages 14-16 that would like to gain more experience working with children and who wish to grow in all aspects of Leadership through working with our young campers. Teen Leaders assist staff in all camp activities and also may be building, painting, and working on camp beautification tasks. All Teen Leaders must set up a time to interview with the Camp Director to be accepted into this program. Teen Leaders will commit to an 18 day flexible schedule of their design. All Teen Leaders must attend Orientation week June 25-29 from 9:00am-4:30pm. Teens that participate as a LEADER are invited to participate in one week of our Teen Tennis Camp or Teen Trip & Community Service Camp for 50% off. Water is available and encouraged throughout the day. HIGHLY SKILLED STAFF At all of the MAC Camps, you can count on the high quality of our staff. From our camp counselors, professional tennis coaches, swim instructors and pool lifeguards, we are very focused on the quality of supervision and instruction of each camper. Our veteran staff is CPR certified and are very in-tune with every camper with the aim to provide all attendees with a positive and fun camp experience. Dave Colby returns as Director of all camps and brings with him a great team. My three children spent the summer at Blue Sky Camp and it was by far the best camp experience they have ever had! They looked forward to going every day (no pulling teeth required). Kayaking, grilling lunch, field trips and the zip line made each week a new adventure.
