How to get your wig If you are an NHS patient and your treatment causes you hair loss, you are entitled to a free wig. You can obtain your voucher for a free wig from the cancer information centre at The Christie at Withington located in department 3. The information centres in The Christie at Oldham and The Christie at Salford also issue wig vouchers. You will need your hospital number, name and address. You do not need to make an appointment for this. Your voucher allows you to choose, free of charge, one wig from a specific range of wigs. This service includes consultation, fitting and styling. If you wish to choose a wig from a more expensive range, you can use your Christie voucher and pay the extra amount on top to cover the cost. You can arrange an appointment to see one of our specialists from Dimples in our wig room at The Christie or visit one of our listed salons. Please remember that you need your wig voucher first. Our specialist cannot see you without a voucher.
