OVERVIEW The INSPIRE Directive has been put in place t create a Eurpean spatial data infrastructure fr the purpses f EU envirnmental plicies as well as plicies r activities which may have an impact n the envirnment. By having a digital infrastructure, the INSPIRE Directive facilitates access and use f very wide scpe f digital spatial data. The applicability f such spatial data ges far beynd envirnmental plicies. Therefre, INSPIRE stretches int varius activities related t e-gvernment, transprt, navigatin, reginal develpment, energy, health, safety & security and e-cmmerce. This brad field f applicatin makes the INSPIRE Directive ne f the enablers f the EU digital sciety. The annual Eurpean INSPIRE Cnferences significantly cntribute t the implementatin f the INSPIRE Directive and ffer a platfrm fr public and private stakehlders t meet and t discuss the prgress reached in the past mnths and years, t examine the pssibilities fr accelerating the further implementatin and t exchange n new pprtunities and challenges that arise frm the implementatin. The INSPIRE Cnference 2017 will take place in Kehl (Germany) and Strasburg (France) frm 4 th t 8 th September 2017. It is jintly rganized by the German Ministry f the Interir, the French Ministry f Envirnment, Energy and Marine Affairs in partnership with the Eurpean Cmmissin. It is further supprted by the Gvernment f the Federal State Baden-Württemberg and the Reginal Cuncil f Grand-Est. This year s cnference with the title INSPIRE a Digital Eurpe: Thinking ut f the bx will fcus n 4 tpics 1. Applicatins f INSPIRE fr envirnment and the digital sciety 2. Capacity building - Technlgies and Training 3. The INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementatin Wrk Prgramme 2017-2020 4. INSPIRE Thinking ut f the bx INSPIRE innvatin It will cver wider applicatin areas such as e-gvernment and further applicatin areas f gespatial infrmatin and technlgies. It will give a strng impetus fr further building f the Eurpean Spatial Data Infrastructure and its use beynd envirnmental applicatins. Furthermre, it will demnstrate innvative slutins in the field f Eurpean envirnmental plicy, digitalizatin f the sciety and reginal chesin, thus giving incentives fr strengthening the crss-sectr and crssbrder cperatin amng all stakehlders active at Eurpean, natinal, reginal and lcal level. At the INSPIRE Cnference 2017 arund 1.000 participants are expected frm all EU Member States and sme nn-eu Member States. The cnference will ffer wrkshps, plenaries, thematic sessins, a pster sessin, a cmmercial exhibitin and scial events. The first part f the cnference will take place at the University f Applied Sciences in Kehl (4 th and 5 th September 2017). The University will hst the wrkshps, the first netwrking event and the Ice Break Party (4 th September 2017). The plenaries, thematic sessins, cmmercial exhibitin, pster sessin and netwrking dinner will fllw frm 6 th t 8 th September 2017 at the Strasburg Cnventin & Exhibitin Centre (Cnventin Centre). The Technical and Cperatin Partners Exhibitin will take place in the Schweitzer Gallery f the Cnventin Centre. 2

STANDS MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES Stand builders (Cnstructin f stands) The maximum authrised lad n the flr is 500 kg per m². The maximum height is dependent n the lcatin f the exhibit and shuld nt in any case exceed 2.5 m. If the exhibitr s stand intends t be ver 2.5 m in height, the exhibitr will need t submit a plan and certificatin f all the materials t be used s that authrisatin can be btained frm the Strasburg Cnventin & Exhibitin Centre (Cnventin Centre). Stand security The Cnventin Centre recmmends that the stand is nt left unattended during the assembly and the installatin dismantled. Cleaning f the stands The general cleaning f the trade fair aisles and equipped stands installed by Strasburg-Evénements (carpet vacuuming) will be carried ut every mrning by the Cnventin Centre. The cleaning f custmised stands shuld be rdered separately. Insurance It is the respnsibility f each exhibitr t take ut their wn additinal insurance that they judge necessary. Neither the rganisers f the INSPIRE Cnference 2017 nr the Strasburg Cnventin & Exhibitin Centre can be held respnsible fr any thefts r damage t the persnal belngings f the exhibitrs during visiting hurs r during the installatin and dismantling f the stands. Safety regulatins The exhibitrs are bliged t strictly cmply with the prvisins f the safety regulatins and any regulatins specific t the event. Parking After unlading their equipment, the exhibitrs are asked t park in the car park (free) in frnt f the Cnventin centre. Parking in the technical grunds f the Cnventin centre is strictly prhibited, except during unlading.
