HEALTH REQUIREMENT: Aircraft must be disinsected blocks away using WHO approved insecticide from last point of departure. The overhead lockers, cupboards or any other closets should be left open whilst spraying at blocks away. In the Health Section of the GENDEC Form, it should state the time the door is closed, the spraying time (which should preferably be done before aircraft push-back) and the time aircraft takes off. Canisters are to be kept and handed to the Public Health Officer upon boarding of aircraft. On arrival, an announcement should be made to all passengers to remain seated to allow cabin inspection by health staff. All doors and windows must be kept closed until the Public Health Officer gives clearance for passengers to disembark. If it is found that spraying is not done or there is no proof that spraying was done accordingly, the Public Health Officer will carry out disinsection upon boarding of the aircraft on arrival including the aircraft holds. The airline will be billed for canister usage through the Ground Handling Agent (Air ). Should the Captain/cabin crew refuse the re-spraying or spraying respectively, the Public Health Officer will prevent disembarkation of passengers and legal proceedings will be instituted against the Captain and the airline. Passengers & crew who embark from a yellow fever endemic area should be notified prior to disembarkation to present their valid yellow fever vaccination card to the Public Health Officer within the arrival lounge for verification. The Captain is to liaise with the Ground Handling Agent (Air ) upon arrival in for necessary cabin cleaning services and removal of refuse prior to closure of aircraft doors. Under no circumstances are refuse to be left in bags / boxes on the ramp or at the remote parking area by the aircraft wheels. AGRICULTURE / QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS: Imports of plants and plant products (e.g. live plants, cuttings, fruits, vegetables, cut flowers) into the are subject to import controls under laws of, namely the Plant Protection Act. A Plant Import Permit is required in advance for consignments of plants and plant products to enter the Republic of. A valid Phytosanitary Certificate issued by the national plant protection organization (NPPO) of the exporting country is required for all plants and plant products. All fruits, vegetables, plants, cuttings, bulbs, seeds or other unprocessed plant products must be declared at Customs and presented for quarantine inspection. For live animals including pets (e.g. cats and dogs), it is mandatory that the importer applies for a veterinary import permit prior to importation of the animals into the. An integral part of the veterinary import permit issued by Veterinary Services is the import health requirement which describes the conditions under which the animal may be authorized to enter into the Republic of. Failure to comply with a direction from the Chief Veterinary Officer to re-export is a guilty offence which can result in confiscation, prosecution and destruction. AIR NAVIGATION FEES: To ensure Air Navigation Charges are settled within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of issue of the respective invoice which will be issued by our Finance Department and to clearly indicate the invoice number(s) you are settling. Failure to conduct payment may result in future request not being granted approval. Landing and parking fees to be collected on our behalf by Air (Ground Handling Agent). AIR NAVIGATION REQUIREMENT Operators shall ensure that the aircraft, are equipped with the mandated equipment as stated in AIC 02/2014 (Mandatory Carriage of GNSS Navigation Equipment, ADS-B and Mode S Transponders in SEYCHELLES Airspace). All flights operating at International Airport (FSIA) shall comply with the navigation requirement for the Standard Arrival Routes (STAR), Standard Instrument Departure (SID) and Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP) for FSIA as contained in AIRAC AMDT 01/2015, effective 08 th January 2015. Note; All approaches are based on GNSS, except for ILS Runway 31 which is available and accessible by RNP 1 STARs. AIRCRAFT PARKING: Pilots to be copied in full on landing clearance document with terms and conditions and informed prior to departure for, that a fully serviceable tow-bar must be available on board for small/medium sized jets and military aircrafts. If none is available, the Airport Authority (SCAA) must be informed and a decision will be made whether to approve the flight application. In the event a landing approval is given for long layover of 24 hours and more and an aircraft operates without a tow-bar, due to operational & safety reasons. The pilot can be asked to depart from as the terms and conditions as set forth in landing clearance document have not been met in full. Upon arrival, passengers will disembark and aircraft on long layover will be towed to Northern Parking Area (secured), the pilots must be contactable at all times during their stay in. If pilots are departing from and returning back on another date, the Airport Authority (SCAA) and Air (GHA) must be informed prior and a decision will be made whether to approve the flight application. Pilots are to follow ATC / marshalling instructions when issued, should pilots not be able to comply with any of the above requirements, please inform the Airport Authority (SCAA) and Air (GHA) as soon as possible. It is important that the clearance document as issued by the Airport Authority (SCAA) is compiled in full and or the express approval permitted by the Airport Authority (SCAA) for different procedure where warranted. Due to recent incidents of birds building nests within the openings of aircraft parked at SIA, operators are strongly advised to, as far as possible; - Cover all openings, particularly engine intakes and exhausts, while aircraft are parked at SIA; and - Inspect all openings thoroughly as part of pre-flight checks to ensure that no foreign materials are present.
