Exhibition Hall 2: Modular. Spacious. Versatile. Exhibition Hall 2 at the Leipzig Exhibition and Convention Centre is part of a modular concept of use for large-scale events. It can be used individually, or in combination with the adjacent Congress Center Leipzig, the spectacular Glass Hall, and the Meeting Area Messehaus. Dimension: Flexible. Adaptable. Expandable. This modern hall has a gross space of 20,500 m² and is fully equipped with all media and telecommunication facilities through a close-mesh underground supply system. Due to its flexibility, the hall is suitable not only for exhibitions of any sort, but also for accommodating large purpose-built auditoria. One particular strength of the Leipzig Trade Fair property is its consistently logical layout and fully developed logistics. The five halls including Exhibition Hall 2 are perfect in design and accessibility so that build-up and breakdown can happen under best conditions and within very short periods of time. When designing the buildings, best usability was the utmost imperative. Thus, the hall was designed in four modular segments of 75 x 75 m each, which can be divided by mobile partitioning walls. Functionality: Variable. Aesthetical. Integrating. The possibility to integrate a plenary, an exhibition, and catering zones in Exhibition Hall 2 is a particularly attractive feature. Many large-scale congresses of a classical format have thus been staged successfully at Congress Center Leipzig. But the hall offers also room for quite unusual, innovative event layouts and spectacular productions. Often, when hosting large-scale congresses and events at the CCL, large plenary auditoria are built in Exhibition Hall 2 while breakout sessions are accommodated in the adjacent CCL building. The CCL s logistics and the know-how for building large plenaries are well-proven. It does not matter whether one plenary for 4,000 people is needed, or various auditoria sized between 500 and 2,000 persons, or any other combination: the maximum capacity of the hall is up to 10,000 people. Sample layout of Exhibition Hall 2: Use of the entire hall for an event involving a Plenary for 2,220 people (theatre style), two Session Halls for 510 people each (theatre style), and an accompanying exhibition. Flexibility: Individually or in Combination. An in-built system of partitioning walls allows to create smaller spaces in Exhibition Hall 2: either half a hall (2 segments totalling 10,000 m²) or a quarter (1 segment, approx. 5,000 m²). Thus, this hall just like exhibition halls 3, 4, and 5 will flexibly adapt to the complex requirements of almost any type of event design. Besides Exhibition Hall 2, the Leipziger Messe property has four more halls: Exhibition Hall 1, and Exhibition Halls 3 to 5. They, too, have a surface of 20,500 m² each and can be part of a modular concept of use for particularly large events. Furthermore, open-air exhibition spaces totalling 70,000 m² are available. They have their own rail siding and media depots which contain connections for electricity, water/sewage and telecommunications.
