The beautiful Paine towers, Mount Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Perito Moreno Glacier welcome you to the southern tip of South America. This is a unique opportunity for you to enjoy Patagonia s most beautiful places and observe its abundant fauna: Guanacos, Ñandues, Foxes, etc. We walk round the huge walls of granite with their snow covered peaks, which challenge dozens of daring climbers every year. 2/8 DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR: DAY 1: START: PUNTA ARENAS - PUERTO NATALES Reception at Punta Arenas airport. Transfer to Puerto Natales, visit to the Ottway penguin colony. Arrive at Puerto Natales, transfer to hotel. Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Lunch DAY 2: PUERTO NATALES TORRES DEL PAINE - LAGUNA AMARGA The beautiful sunrise is reflected in the mountains and lake Amarga. The park, created in 1959, is a paradise for nature lovers: the fauna, flora and landscapes are just fabulous! We set up our camp in Laguna Amarga. DAY 3: LAGUNA AMARGA - DICKSON LAKE (10-11h) First trekking day (approx. 10-11 hours). We head north, up to the Paine river. We will discover great landscapes and take time to watch and learn about the fauna and flora. We circle the cordillera heading north and we reach the great lake Dickson, where we set up our camp. DAY 4: DICKSON LAKE - LOS PERROS CAMP (4h) Hike (approx. 4 hours) to Perros river. We camp near the river. DAY 5: LOS PERROS CAMP - PASO JOHN GARDNER - GREY GLACIER (10h) We continue on to the most impressive part of our trek. We walk down the moraines located at the foot of the Grey glacier and the fascinating granite peaks. We cross the John Gardner pass and enjoy a spectacular view on the tremendous ice mass of the
3/8 Continental Ice Fields. We walk down on a trail that borders the Grey glacier. We spend the night at the refuge or camp (according to availability). Accommodation: Refuge/Camp DAY 6: GREY GLACIER - PEHOE LAKE (4-5h) We walk along lake Grey. We enjoy the fantastic view on the Paine Grande Peak and Lake Grey. We set up our next camp on the shores of the beautiful Lake Pehoe. DAY 7: LAKE PEHOE - FRENCH VALLEY - CUERNOS REFUGE (9-10h) We hike to the French Valley, to the foot of mount Fortaleza with its incredible granite towers. The Paine Grande reaches 3248m, and continues to fascinate climbers. We trek to Cuernos Refuge where we spend the night in the refuge or in camp (according to availability). Accommodation: Refuge/Camp DAY 8: CUERNOS REFUGE - TORRES CAMPSITE (4-5h) Hike along Lake Nordenskjöld to reach Torres campsite. DAY 9: TORRES CAMPsITE - TORRES DEL PAINE - PUERTO NATALES Full day hike to the foot of the Torres del Paine, granite peaks of more than 1000m high. There is a beautiful lake at the foot of the towers. Back to Torres campsite and transfer to Puerto Natales. Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
4/8 DAY 10: PUERTO NATALES EL CALAFATE We leave Chile and cross the Argentinean Pampa to El Calafate. Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Lunch DAY 11: EL CALAFATE - EL CHALTEN In the morning, excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier with short walk to the view point. Huge blocks of ice fall down into the icy waters. Return to El Calafate and transfer to El Chaltén. DAY 12: EL CHALTEN - LAKE TORRE - LAKE CAPRI EL CHALTEN (6h) Hike to Laguna Torre. We walk in the virgin forest. In front of us the impressive Cerro Torre rises up with its clear water lake. Afterwards we trek to the Capri Lagoon and return to El Chalten. DAY 13: EL CHALTEN - LAGUNA DE LOS TRES - EL CHALTEN (4-6 h) Hike to the base of Mount Fitz Roy and climb to the Laguna Los Tres at the foot of an emerging glacier. The granite towers loom above us. Trek back to El Chalten. DAY 14: EL CHALTEN - PIEDRA DEL FRAILE - EL CHALTEN (8h) Short transfer up to Rio Electrico. Hike to Piedra del Fraile passing Piedras Blancas Glacier. We reach the Pollone Glaciar s viewpoint. We then return to El Chalten.
5/8 DAY 15: EL CHALTEN - PUERTO NATALES Transfer to Puerto Natales. Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Lunch DAY 16: PUERTO NATALES - PUNTA ARENAS (END) Transfer to Punta Arenas airport. End of trek. Meals: Breakfast PRIVATE SERVICE: We offer this program as a private service. It departs on the most convenient date for the client and requires a minimum of 2 people to run.
