Great Fun! Great Value! From 7am 6pm! At the Y, summer camp is an enjoyable and impactful blast for your child, and flexible and convenient for you! JUST LOOK AT ALL WE OFFER Our camp day is scheduled with age-appropriate activities from 9am 4pm Monday through Friday. Plus! We re open for before and after care from 7am 9am and 4pm 6pm at no additional cost. That s 11 hours of care daily! For no extra charge, we provide two meals and one snack every day! And we offer campers swim lessons and in-house or traveling field trips as well as a t-shirt! SIBLING SAVINGS = For Each Additional Child in Camp, Save $100! With our sibling savings option, you save more for each additional child you send gether camp. For each additional child who attends camp, you save $10 a week! It s an app called Tadpoles which provides daily updates about your child throughout the day, including phos and videos. You ll also have your child s daily schedule and reminders at your fingertips! Tadpoles helps you share important information and create a memorable record of all the great things your child is doing at summer camp. Call day learn more about Tadpoles. Safety and Staff: A Winning Combo! Our day camps meet the highest health and safety standards of the YMCA and the NYS Health Department. Camps are inspected twice each year by the Department of Health and files are available for inspection at your county health department office. Our hand-picked staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, pool safety, heat and sun safety, age-appropriate activities, conflict resolution, rainy day play and more! Staff training includes almost 30 hours before camp begins. Camper Safety Safety comes first at the Y. That s why we ask all campers celebrate camp in ways that are respectful themselves, other campers, and our staff. To ensure the safety of all those in our care, a camper whose behavior poses a risk safety may be removed from camp. Phos and Videos To help share the fun of summer camp, YMCA staff use phographs and videos that feature children from our camps for promotional materials. Refunds We cannot refund the cost of camp for the voluntary withdrawal of a camper due illness, vacation, or other absence (temporary or permanent), or for the dismissal of a camper.
OUR PROGRAMS Building Confident Children KINDER CAMP Entering Kindergarten and First Grade During the typical day, children enjoy fun activities that encourage physical involvement, social interaction, educational opportunities, and personal growth and creativity. Included in weekly cost for camp are a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. Meal patterns, components, and serving sizes follow guidelines set by the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). SWIM LESSONS AVAILABLE Summer camp is a great time for your child learn swim. It s convenient for you, and great fun for your child! We offer swim lessons three days a week. Your child will learn floating, basic swim strokes and skills appropriate for her/his age and swim level all under the guidance of our certified swim instrucrs. Summer Literacy Enrichment Our Summer Book Club helps develop your child s love of reading, and strengthen your child s literacy skills. Our staff provide campers with fun activities enrich their literacy all summer long. NEW This Summer! Enrichment Visirs and Activities Campers will enjoy visits from a variety of high quality guests, encouraging children develop a greater passion for the things they love and try new things! ONLINE AT www.cdymca.org/camp complete your child s registration. 2. AT YOUR YMCA BRANCH, kiosks will be available for you complete your child s registration. Staff will also be available for assistance. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/APPROVALS: Upon registration, you will receive an email from Joelle Grande, KidzLodge Coordinar requesting medical information, immunization records, emergency contacts and authorized pickups, as well as approve medical emergency, pho/video permission, activities, and sunscreen release forms.

Campers enjoy a week of fun activities and games as we celebrate a kinds of heroes, from comic book real life heroes! Enrichment Visir: Local community helpers, such as fire fighters, dentists, and police! AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL Oh say can you see... all the fun this week! Campers explore what makes our country unique and what the colors red, white and blue stand for. Campers also have fun preparing, creating, and sending a care package a solider. GO GREEN! Is your child ready be a nature detective? How about searching for tiny creatures that live all around us? Campers explore the forest, fields and trails all around KidzLodge as they discover secrets that nature has tell us. This week we ll also visit the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. Enrichment Activity: Show your creativity with recycled materials in the thingamajig competition, and have fun at our camp counselor fashion show (with outfits created by campers!)! GLOBETROTTERS Pack your bags and grab your passports. We re off on new adventures learning about different cultures and countries through games, music, and crafts. We ll end the week with our very own camp Parade of Nations. Enrichment Visir: STEM activities with the Children s Museum of Science and Technology. PASSPORT TO FITNESS Campers will jump-start their quest ward fun with fitness. We have lots of fun with fitness, sports, team building and physical activities. Enrichment Visir: YMCA Fitness Instrucrs for Kids Zumba and Yoga. FABULOUS FAIR WEEK Campers create a fun-filled fair for the whole camp enjoy. Enjoy water games, face painting, ring ss, pota sack races and much more. This week, we ll visit The Saraga Children s Museum. Enrichment Activity: Campers will work with counselors create LEGO creations for our end of the week LEGO show YOUNG CHEFS Our young chef s learn how prepare and cook different foods during the week. We concentrate on learning how the body needs good nutrition keep active and healthy. Enrichment Visir: Campers will explore their creative side with art counselors. The week concludes with an art show for camper s families. SPLISH SPLASH WATER WEEK There s no better way spend a hot summer day than in the water. This week is packed with fun water activities and experiments. Campers learn about water all around us from lakes rivers, oceans and ponds. Enrichment Visir: Campers explore their creative side with music and dance counselors. MAD SCIENCE This week is all about discovery as campers enjoy hands-on experiences with goopy, slimy, overflowing science experiments. Kinder campers learn the process of asking questions, conducting experiments, and discussing the results! This week we will visit The Children s Museum of Science and Technology. Enrichment Visir: Campers enjoy a visit from The Traveling Planetarium! SPIRIT WEEK Camp comes a close but the fun doesn t sp as we celebrate and show our camp spirit with daily camp themes!
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP Camper Essentials! Swimsuit & Towel A plastic bag for wet swimsuit & wel along with goggles, if your child needs them. Backpack Large, sturdy backpack with luggage tag with your child s name on it. Insulated Lunch Bag Full lunch (that does not need be refrigerated) along with snacks & drinks Complete Change of Clothing Baseball hat or visor Water bottle Filled with water Sunscreen Non-aerosol only Sweatshirt It can get chilly during the day PLEASE ADD YOUR CHILD S NAME TO EVERYTHING THEY BRING TO CAMP. Also, please have your child dress appropriately for outdoor play (no dresses/skirts/dress shoes). Please send your child in SNEAKERS EVERYDAY (no flip-flops or sandals). Each camper receives a camp T-shirt. For the safety of your child, we ask that all campers wear their camp T-shirt on field trip days.
