AN UNTOUCHED REMOTE WILDERNESS Resting atop a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River Valley in a wild, remote part of the Kruger National Park, The Outpost is designed with simple, clean lines; combining steel, concrete and open space. SPACIOUS LUXURY The Outpost accommodates 24 guests in 12 standalone, open plan Luxury Spaces, connected to each other and to the central Lodge with a Zimbabwean teak walkway. The contemporary Spaces make full use of space, using concrete and steel with state-of-the-art retractable screens allowing uninterrupted views of the valley below. The open feel of the room extends into a comfortable lounge and an award-winning bathroom, which can be screened off for privacy. The stone bath and open shower boast views as far as Mozambique. The outdoor terrace with daybed is the perfect spot to while away the time soaking in the natural wonder.

EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCES The contemporary and tasteful design of the lodge is emphasized by the beauty of the surrounding bush. Clean, symmetrical lines, combined with unconventional elements, such as steel and concrete, create a luxurious, unassuming look. The bar is a focal point, defining the lounge and dining areas, which offer cool, relaxing alternatives to daybeds and chairs on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool. Brunch served in the main building with views of the Luvuvhu Valley. Lunch may be enjoyed as a picnic out on safari, under Baobabs or on the river banks. Dinner commences in the enclosed courtyard under stars or on the deck next to the pool.
BOUNDLESS DIVERSITY Also known as The Pafuri, The Makuleke Contractual Park is bordered in the north by the Limpopo River and Zimbabwe, to the east by Crooks Corner and Mozambique. This vast and remote 26,500 hectare Big 5 concession, belonging to the Makuleke people, holds almost 80% of the Kruger s biodiversity. Unique geology gives rise to diverse terrain, including: riverine bush, mopane woodlands, fever tree forests, acacia thickets and large and ancient baobab trees. The Makuleke is a listed Ramsar Wetland Site with over 350 identified bird species, rocks which date back 250 million years, with traces of early humankind, and baobabs carbon dating back 1400 years... definitely a place to explore!
SENSATIONAL SAFARIS Game drives and the most outstanding walking safaris take place in one of the most scenic and diverse wilderness areas in the Kruger Park. Game, including the Big 5, is plentiful, with nyala, buffalo and bushbuck more common in the riverine areas and dry terrain animals such as white rhino, in the uplands. The mountainous terrain is attractive to leopard and the region has resident prides of lion. The area is famous for its large herds of elephant and buffalo in winter, which come to drink.
