Winter Annual Business Meeting hosted by the Albuquerque Tin Lizzies in Albuquerque, New Mexico last February was a huge success. The National MTFCA Tour was held in Lincoln, Nebraska hosted by Nebraskaland Model T and Antique Car Club in June. We finished remodeling the new MTFCA Museum in Richmond, Indiana and moved in Chapter Newsletter for the Model T Ford Club of America MTFCA News Having Entered 2013, Let s Look Back At 2012. last August. We raised nearly $46,000 for the MTFCA Museum through the generosity of our membership, local people and business donations and a matching grant from Wayne County Foundation. The Pietenpol Sky Scout Airplane was donated to the MTFCA Museum by Fred and Lavina CHAPTER HAPPENINGS January 2013 Houston and is the center piece of the Museum. Hershey was another success and an enjoyable time to visit and get reacquainted with members from all over the world. MTFCA has a new president, Dennis Gorder of Baraboo, Wisconsin. We look forward to Dennis leadership and thank out-going president, Tom Miles for all his service in the past years. The 1931 Pietenpol Sky Scout, Serial Number One, on its way to Richmond, Indiana and the MTFCA Museum. The plane was restored and donated by Fred and Lavina Houston of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Looking Ahead For 2013 Sunflower State Crankers Model T Winter Clinic will be Friday and Saturday, January 25-26, 2013 at Hutchinson Career & Technical Education Academy, 1500 Plaza Way, Hutchinson, KS. Mike Crowe say this year s clinic will feature rear end repair. The Winter Annual Business Meeting is in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, March 22-24 (See attached pages 2-3. You may use these in your newsletter ). The MTFCA National Tour will be with the Hillbilly Tour, September 4-8, 2013 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas (See attached pages 4-5. You may use these in your newsletter ). Hershey Swap Meet and Car Show is October 9-12th. You need to experience this at least once in your life. Howdy Model T Owners, MTFCA NATIONAL HILLBILLY TOUR 2013 September 4-8, 2013 EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS The Extraordinary Escape! NATIONAL TOUR You are invited to attend the 30th Annual Hillbilly Tour in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This will be a MTFCA National Tour and you must be a MTFCA member to attend. This hub tour will be headquartered at the beautiful Best Western Inn of the Ozarks in historic Eureka Springs, Arkansas and is hosted by the Heart of the Ozarks Chapter, Springfield, Missouri. Call 1-800-998-9620 for reservations before August 1, 2013. Ask for the special Model T Ford Hillbilly Tour 2013 room rate of $89.00 plus tax which includes a hot breakfast discount. The tour will be limited to 75 cars. Attached are the Registration Forms and the Tour Vehicle Inspection Sheet. Again due to the condition of the economy, we have made a special effort to reduce the cost of the tour by trimming a few frills. This will not lessen the enjoyment of driving your Model T on the beautiful Arkansas byways or visiting with other hillbillies you see so often on these tours. Tour fees are $140 for Car and Driver and $110 for each passenger. If you intend to participate in the 2013 tour, please return these completed forms with your tour fees after January 2, 2013. We will visit Crystal Bridge Museum, War Eagle Mill, Pea Ridge National Battlefield, participate in the Eureka Springs 43rd Annual Parade and attend an evening performance at a country music theater.
