ENABLING BUSINESS The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) held in January 2016, was a tremendous success, not only for the Kingdom of Bahrain but also for the participating exhibitors, delegations and visitors. Spurred by the show s growing contribution to the regional aviation industry, the next Bahrain International Airshow in 2018 will change from its traditional slot in January to November to meet demands of the show s participants. With His Majesty the King s ongoing patronage, it is a privilege for me to be personally supporting the event once more and, alongside the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Air Force, and in association with Farnborough International, I am pleased to announce that we are working on further enhancing our offering to the global aviation community by providing ever more business and networking opportunities at the 2018 show. Strong links have been forged with a number of international aerospace organisations who, like so many other global businesses, see Bahrain as a natural gateway to the Middle East. Bahrain s own investment in aviation is growing rapidly; from aircraft to training and maintenance to airport infrastructure, we continue to embrace the economic advantages of this rapidly growing industry. We hope that you will also consider leveraging the vast opportunities available in the Gulf region by being part of our Airshow. I very much look forward to welcoming you to Bahrain in 2018. HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa Chairman of BIAS Supreme Organising Committee Personal Representative of His Majesty the King PAGE 04

FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH Following the unprecedented growth witnessed at the Bahrain International Airshow 2016, the 2018 show marks an important milestone for Bahrain, with the 2018 show now set to take place on the 14-16th November in order to facilitate the show s continued growth and to meet demands of its international participants for this truly unique event. The Middle East civil aerospace market is growing at an exponential rate as evidenced by the number of aviation infrastructure projects in the region including Bahrain s Airport Modernization Program, which we hope will be completed by July 2019. This large-scale project aims at elevating the facilities, infrastructure, and services at the Bahrain International Airport, increasing its capacity in line with the Kingdom s long-standing position as a leading aviation hub. The success achieved at BIAS 2016, which hosted 139 participating companies, around 100 aircraft and international delegations from 34 countries (civil and military); resulting in US$9bn worth of deals struck over the show s three days with the most prominent being Gulf Air s announcement of restructured orders of 45 aircraft with Boeing and Airbus. Our show s unique location and bespoke facilities including direct chalet and apron front positioning, aircraft demonstrations, exhibition feature hall, and customer test-flights will all remain key features. We are extremely excited to see the fifth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow in 2018 where we are set to once again provide a platform for growing your business in the Middle East region. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications PAGE 05

TAI would like to express our happiness in participating at the Bahrain International Airshow for the second time. Out of the events we attend, BIAS is one of the most well organized. From ground services and handling to chalet set-up, from catering to initial registration as well as the team that devote themselves to the success of the show, everything was perfect and is highly appreciated. Bülent Batmaca Chief/Marketing Strategies Turkish Aerospace Industries The Bahrain International Airshow is a valuable event for BAE Systems and we look forward to attending the next edition. The organisers work hard to make it a smooth and well organised show. It is an ideal event to showcase aerospace in Bahrain and we will continue to support the Bahrain International Airshow as an important part of the region s aerospace industry. Mark Simpkins Regional Vice President, Middle East BAE Systems PAGE 06

BAHRAIN INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW 2018 The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) is a commercially-focused air show that seeks to give your aerospace business a personalised experience. It offers access to high-level delegations within the aerospace community all within a dedicated arena. As the fastest growing air show in the Middle East, BIAS 2018 is being held in November for the first time, providing the aerospace industry with more opportunities to do business in the region. As the regional aviation industry witnesses rapid growth - in the areas of infrastructure, technology and investment - BIAS 2018 is an opportune platform, at which to conduct your business and form new partnerships. BIAS 2018 is being organised through the continuing partnership of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, the Royal Bahraini Air Force and Farnborough International. US$ Billion total value deals made at the show - 221% increase from 2014 BIAS 2016 KEY STATISTICS High level delegations (33 military and 59 civil) representing 34 countries PAGE 08 Hours daily flying display International participating companies 61% increase since inception

WHY BAHRAIN? Along with competitive costs, easy access to the rest of the Middle East and a well-established business infrastructure, Bahrain has extensive experience in understanding the needs of foreign businesses and responding to them. Specifically, the Kingdom has an established track record in economic reform and diversification that is focused on access, value and agility for businesses based in the Kingdom. One of the most liberal business environments in the world - it is ranked 18th globally by the Heritage Foundation and first in the MENA region, in the 2015 Index of Economic Freedom One of the first countries in the region to begin diversifying its economy, with strong logistics, manufacturing, tourism, ICT, professional and financial services sectors - with more than four decades of experience, there are over 400 registered financial institutions in the Kingdom - it is a global leader in the Islamic finance sector Strong pan-gcc transport links, including road, sea and air, with airport modernization, direct access to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway and rail development moving forward all built around a natural logistics hub in northern Bahrain The lowest business costs in the region, according to KPMG, and an efficient registration process Family friendly and social lifestyle where cultures truly mix - it ranks 1st in the region and 4th globally in the 2015 HSBC Expat Explorer Survey A trusted, transparent and collaborative regulatory environment PAGE 09

MEET. CONNECT. NETWORK. Bahrain s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications strives to ensure that BIAS offers businesses from across the aerospace supply chain with viable networking opportunities. Since its establishment, BIAS s civil and military delegations programme has attracted a growing number of delegations and VIPS; the 2016 show saw the strongest attendance to date, with a total of 92 civil and military delegations from 34 countries and the participation of more than 139 international companies from the international aviation industry. High level delegations, led by Transport Ministers and CEOs from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey, USA, Czech Republic, Georgia, India, Russia, France, Hungary, UK and Brazil attended the show. Additional new features were added in BIAS 2016 to further boost networking opportunities. These included an Air Transport Conference, a seminar on a new safety programme for smaller aircraft ISSA hosted by IATA, and a hosted buyer programme which will return in 2018 following its successful debut. The HOSTED BUYER PROGRAMME allows suppliers to connect with potential buyers. By joining the programme, companies can enjoy targeted networking time with potential business partners, with guaranteed face-to-face meetings with pre-qualified companies. PAGE 10
