Mind Bayside Family and Carer Services calendar of events July 2017 June 2018

About Mind Bayside Family and Carer Services Mind Australia Limited is one of the country s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers. We have been supporting people dealing with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for 40 years. Currently we have over 60 service sites throughout Australia that, this year, will support 12,000 Australians on their personal recovery journeys. We believe that with the right kind of help and support, life can be better and people can and do achieve a life with meaning and purpose. The southern metropolitan region of Mind Family and Carer services are made up of: Bayside South-Eastern Melbourne Frankston- Mornington Peninsula City of Bayside Cardinia Shire City of Frankston City of Glen Eira City of Casey Mornington Peninsula Shire City of Kingston City of Greater Dandenong City of Monash City of Port Philip City of Stonington How we help families and carers We provide tailored, 1:1 support to families and carers of people with mental ill-health. We also provide opportunities for planned respite access, carer supports and day outings. How we help your loved ones our clients We also provide tailored 1:1 support to clients and assist them in the accomplishment of their goals. We help in providing information and resources, and, if they wish, in linking them to external services. We also provide ongoing group activities, day trips and four-day respite breaks. How we help the family We provide consultations and specialist therapeutic work to improve family relationships. We will help NDIS clients Mind is a major provider of psychosocial support to NDIS clients impacted by mental health issues. As Mind Bayside Community Services transitions into the NDIS model through 2018, Family and Carer Services will continue to provide respite support to clients, using the NDIS model. We look forward to continuing to lessen some of the negative impacts of the caring role. Please contact us if you wish to learn more about what we at Mind Bayside Family and Carers do, and how we can help to support you or your loved one(s) after the rollout of the NDIS locally.
