A] Environmental Awareness WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY JUNE 5, 2016 LOCAL BEACH CLEAN-UP Following the successful beach clean-up that took place in 2015, our hotel teams were very happy to repeat it again it seems that it has been already a tradition! The beach clean-up initiative consisted of three actions taking place at the same time in three different coastline zones that are used by our 5 hotels. Hotel Staff, Guests and the Management were actively engaged and they put special emphasis on the public areas surrounding the hotel beach premises, which are normally cleaned by the local authorities. Everyone got a t-shirt with the logo of the initiative and a hat as gifts for their participation. People also received the essential tools i.e. hand gloves, plenty of water and differently colored plastic bags. The Management explained to the Guests and reminded to the Staff which color corresponds to which material and that was useful from an educational point of view. 1
RECYCLING We acknowledge the importance of reducing our environmental footprint. As a vast number of green resources is used every year in order to produce paper and other stuff for our convenience, we need to be cautious and bear in mind that resources are not unlimited. One of the actions we have taken with regards to our impact, is to start recycling what we use. Unfortunately, the recycling concept is not a norm yet in Greece and things are not easy in the island of Rhodes where the transportation cost of the recycling is challenging for the public and the private sector. In an effort to overcome these barriers, we decided to start working on the recycling concept by self-funding and at the same time using structures from Athens that can handle materials with no extra cost barriers. After two years we managed to effectively recycle: Paper Plastic Aluminum Glass Batteries Lamps Electronic Equipment Used cook oils GUEST & STAFF AWARENESS Our Guests in Lindos Princess & Princess Andriana are informed for our environmental actions by reading the Environmental Leaflet that is located in each room and they are inspired and motivated to be more responsible on their daily patterns regarding the environmental impact. Everyone has access to our environmental policy which is located in many public areas and in the rooms as well so the Management s commitment to the environment is communicated to everyone. Hotel Staff and especially Housekeeping and Maintenance departments are trained with in-class and on-the-job training on how to handle the environmental issues. 2

C] Supporting the local communities RHODES FOR LIFE ANNUAL WALKING AGAINST CANCER Rhodes For Life is an nonprofitable organization which runs a walking marathon every year. The sole purpose of this annual meeting is to raise money in order to buy a tool that is missing from the Public Hospital and that is essential for the diagnosis and prevention of several cancer cases. This year, the target is higher than any other year: they aim to collect 50000 euros. The money comes from the sell of t-shirts and caps, at the cost of 5 euros each. This is translated to 10000 t- shirts and caps. H Hotels Collection decided to support this action by engaging staff and guests, with the sell of t- shirts and caps in the hotel premises. So far the correspondence of the people is extraordinary, as we have managed to sell more than 780 t-shirts in our hotel premises. 6
