Meanwhile, enjoy the beautiful landscape and magnificant views. From Same to MamboViewPoint: Arrival in Same. Day safari in an open jeep in Mkomazi National Park. When arrived at MamboViewPoint you can explore the fantastic views and relax at your cottage or at the main terrace. In the evening a lovely dinner-buffet is prepared in the restaurant. After an extensive breakfast you will start with the Cliff & Village walk. This morning you will walk, together with a guide, next to impressive cliffs and afterwards explore the villages of Tema and Mambo. Meanwhile, experience the Tanzanian hospitality and curiosity. Don t forget to bring your camera, many children will yell: Hello Mzungu! Picture! Upon returning a tasty lunch will be waiting for you. You can spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying your morning experiences or you can plan another activity. Today s excursion is a visit to the exceptional Shagayu forest. Walk through the primary forest, enjoy the waterfall and observe the huge Magnolia and Parasol trees. During this trip you have a great chance of spotting the black-white Colobus Monkeys. The excursion can be shortened to 3 or 5 hours. At night during dinner and the campfire you can share your jungle-experiences with our other guests. After an extensive breakfast it is time for the drive to MamboViewPoint. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will do the Cliff & Village walk. Hike from Lukozi to Rangwi and reach a peak of 2,100+ meters. Distance: 11.7 kilometer Duration: 7 hours Hike from Lushoto to Mkuzi through the impressive Magamba forest. Distance: 12.3 kilometer Day 5: @ Rangwi Sisters convent Duration: 4 hours @ Mullers Hike from Mkuzi to Lukozi and walk through several pitoresque villages. Distance: 18 kilometer Duration: 6 hours @ Homestay Bushbaby Hike from Rangwi to Mambo next to the beautiful fields and impressive cliffs. Package 4. Mountainbiking Half day / 1 day / multiple days We offer several challenging trails from and to MamboViewPoint. You can rent mountainbikes at our place. Take a guide to accompany you and to provide you with information and stories about the environment or go on your own with a GPS track. It is important to make an estimation of your level of fitness in advance. The one day trails from MamboViewPoint vary from 3 to 7 hours. Options for multiple day trails, possible in both directions: MamboViewPoint FishEagle Point in Tanga (5 days) MamboViewPoint Korogwe (described below) From Mambo to Korogwe Arrival in Mombo, transfer by taxi to Mambo. Prepare for the upcoming active days. Possibly you can come a day in advance in order to get used to the heights. @ MamboViewPoint Bike from Mambo to Soni. Enjoy the stunning views and the Magamba forest. Distance: 85 kilometer Duration: 6 hours @ Maweni Farm Bike from Soni to Lutundi. Today you start with an intense climb and you bike along the wide teafields. Distance: 60 kilometer Duration: 6 hours @ Magundi Guesthouse Bike from Lutundi to Korogwe. A fantastic descent after which you will end South of the Usambara Mountains. Distance: 53 kilometer Duration: 4 hours @ White Parrot
Package 5. Car-tour Usambara Mountains (with guide) After an extensive breakfast you will drive to Mullers where you will stay this night. In the afternoon you can walk through the beautiful Mkuzi forest and visit the Mkuzi waterfalls. Discover all about the flora and fauna in this region during the walk. You will be picked up by the 4x4 in Mombo. In the afternoon you will explore Lushoto accompanied by a guide, check out the old German colonial buildings and visit Irente Viewpoint. Package 6. Additional: Safari Mkomazi National Park / 3 days - 2 nights Mkomazi National Park is situated in the North of Tanzania, close to the Kenyan border. In Mkomazi the mighty Big 5* are present, accompanied by many other animals and lots of birds. The wonderful park was only established in the 50 s and is therefore not as well-known. An advantage is that it is less visited, so no traffic jams. From Same to MamboViewPoint (pre-add) Arrival in Same. Stay @ Elephant motel Today you will go on a guided safari tour through Mkomazi National Park in an open jeep. Enjoy the African wildlife! Afterwards transfer to Mambo by car. Stay @ MamboViewPoint Explore Mambo, see other packages. Optional: Multiple day safari * At this moment the rhinos stay in a protected environment, because of a breeding program.
