Suggestion: Sail from Isola Tavolara to Maddalena Archipelago. Taking in following harbours and anchorages depending on weather. Cala Di Volpe - Beautiful Protected Anchorage from Mistral - Long beach at National Park opposite - 4-5 meter depth: perfect for an early season swim
Maddalena - Picturesque harbour on the Maddalena Islands - Strong Naval History - Harbour in Old Town preferred, although space somewhat limited Porto La Palma - Wide anchorage with protection from prevailing winds (incl. Mistral) - Location of premier Italian sailing school for observations of Mediterranean regatta technique - Beautiful view down to Cannignione and the Maddalena straits Porto Liscia - Long empty beach with good holding, open to the North - Daily local thermic winds providing ideal conditions for Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Cannigione - Large Harbour with some quaint local life - Moorings and berths in Marina - Excellent Restaurant. Tavola Blu. Italian special: paper plates, plastic cups but food to die for.

Or put some miles in and head up to Ajaccio and Propriano on the west coast. Here are a few suggestions. Porto Vecchio - Delightful Corsican town, with plenty of local colour - In big bay (almost Fjord like), although somewhat limited anchoring and mooring opportunities
