1. Introduction The information contained in this document describes in more detail the changes taking place to the current Amadeus Plain Text Itinerary. Following the release of the Open Systems Open Back End (OBE) itinerary in November 2012, changes have been made to the existing solution which has resulted in a new Compact itinerary. This guide contains examples of the new compact itinerary layouts and information on what is and isn t changing with this new release and the move from the OBE to the new Compact solution. Timeline The full market migration from the current OBE itinerary to the new Compact version will take place on 20 th August 2013. There may also be the opportunity to move to the new Compact versions sooner than the 20th August 2013. If your organisation would like to be considered for an early migration please contact your Amadeus Account Manager. Any organisations which do not move to the new Compact version earlier than this date will be migrated in a final phase on the 20th August 2013. This final group could include any customers using scripting tools who may require development time to update any scripts so that they are compatible with the COMPACT itinerary and be ready to be migrated on the Market migration on the 20 th August 2013. 2. Layout design enhancements Amadeus has taken this opportunity to redesign the Plain Text Itinerary considering both the needs of the Travel Agent and the Passenger. The resulting document is easier to read and comprehend. This section outlines the new format for each segment type. The summary of changes is as follows: 1. 24 hour time format is used instead of 11:00 hour format 2. Cockpit, Cabin crew, equipment Aircraft owner information is removed when flight is operated by different career. 3. All departure and arrival dates now include the year* 4. Air and Rail record locators now associated at segment level. (For Manual (Car, Hotel, Tour, Taxi) and Misc, Agent can use a comma, or slash / in the free flow text to indicate carriage return. 5. Hotel Room and rate description" are no longer displayed by default. To display it the user must append the /HT option 6. Smoking information is removed from flight display 7. For multi leg display, we no longer repeat information, e.g. equipment, operated by, crew information etc. 8. Infant ticket number is displayed. 9. Improved language support e.g. day of the week 10. SSR always displayed at segment level for greater transparency Frequent flyer always displayed at segment level for greater transparency 11. New rail segments are supported 12. Rail information booked from a flight display (e.g. Eurostar) will be shown as a Rail segment now. Note: Items highlighted in bold are segment display enhancements which will be available in the new compact version of the plain text itinerary. Those not highlighted in bold were included in the OBE version which was released in November 2012 and which forms the current market solution. Page 5 of 21

I have included an example of the TPF itinerary if only to remind you of how itineraries used to look like and as a compare and contrast tool when reviewing the current OBE format and new Compact versions detailed over the next 3 pages. Content Enhancements This section outlines the changes in content and how it is processed Change of Email Title The subject line of the email will reflect the first booking data regardless of type. Previously, the first flight segment was used. The year is also added. Example: Enhancement: PABLO/BRIASCO MR 05DEC2013 NCEPAR Present: PABLO/BRIASCO MR 05DEC NCEPAR Last Check in Time (New to the Compact Itinerary) The itinerary will display Last Check in Time; Each Airline should file this information for every flight departure in VSTD table (few currently do). If the data is filed by airline then itinerary displays this information, if Airline has not filed it then this data is blank in itinerary. 5. Functional Differences between TPF and Compact Itinerary (Reminder) This section describes the functional changes to the application. Simplifications targeted at legacy/old features which are no longer valid in today s workflow. Unified Layout The IBP/J/D entries will still be supported but they will result in the same extended layout/display as generated from IEP/J/D. Segment Order (SOR Office Profile Setting) Segments will be shown only in PNR chronological order, i.e. the setting of the SOR indicator will no longer be taken into account. This is already the case with the OBE version out in the market now. On the old TPF itinerary the SOR office profile setting determined if auxiliary segments were displayed chronologically or at the bottom of the itinerary. Email Authority granted by default All agents on the compact version will be able to send the Itinerary email by default (as is the case with the current OBE version but wasn t the case for the TPF version) Email Sender Address The following hierarchy will be used to define the From email value i.e. the Sender email address 1. Agent can choose to manually add a structured RMZ remark in the PNR which will populate the From email value e.g. of RMZ input = RMZ CONF*FROM:jsmith@amadeus.com 2. The Sender address value (called SEND_FROM_EML preference) from the LSS parameter, if one is present, is considered as a From email value. 3. The email address defined in the office profile (EML field ), if present is considered as a From email value together with the office profile NAM Field. 4. If the From email value is not available and the email reply to field is populated, this reply to value will be displayed as a From email value. 5. The default Amadeus email address FND@AMADEUS.COM will be used as a From email value. Page 18 of 21
Email Reply to Address The following hierarchy will be used to define the email address which will display in the reply to email field 1. Agent can choose to manually add a specific RMZ remark in the PNR which will populate the From email value. e.g of input RMZ CONF*RPLY::jsmith@amadeus.com 2. Agent can continue to use WM/ commands and define 'Reply To' information.(wm/rpy, user level, then office level) 3. If the reply to value is not available and the From email field is populated, this From email value will be displayed as a reply to value. 4. The default Amadeus email address FND@AMADEUS.COM will be used as a Reply to value. Removing the Do Not Respond Message An office profile contains an EML (Email Address) field. If this field is set to NONE, then any email sent from that Office ID will show at the receiving end as "Please Do Not Respond".
