Rockhampton 2017 ABOUT THE EXPO We are delighted to be bringing the National Saleyards Expo back to Queensland in 2017, where the event will be staged in Rockhampton. Steve Loane ALMA Chair As the national peak industry body representing saleyard and lairage owners and operators ALMA has designed a program to allow our members and other stakeholders, from all parts of the country to come together in one place, to hear about and discuss regional and national issues that affect the industry. An off-site tour has also been organised for delegates and any interested partners where we will visit the Central Queensland Livestock Exchange at Gracemere as well as the Paradise Lagoons facility. Rockhampton Airport is located just a short 10 minute ride from the centre of Rockhampton. There are both taxi and bus options available as well as rental vehicles. Flights to Rockhampton depart from numerous Queensland cities. For flight and fare information contact QANTAS, JETGO and Virgin. If you plan on driving maybe take a few extra days and take in some of what this region has to offer: visit a crocodile farm, national park, museum or maybe take a dip in the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
