Trip Signups Have Started by Martha Heinrich Most of our newsletter this month provides you the details and specifics regarding our Trip Schedule for the 2004 2005 season. We have already started sign ups for several of trips that are scheduled early in the season. Some of those may sell out, so if you are interested in Snowbird, Crested Butte, or Seven Springs you don t need to wait until September to put your name on the list and make your deposit. Contact the Trip Leader today and they ll work with you to get an application and deposit processed. September 9 th at our Club meeting is when all remaining trips will open for trip applications. Be sure to attend our biggest meeting of the year, find out what everyone has done this summer, and plan to take some ski vacations with your friends. Remember, even though your skiing/boarding friends may not be members of the Club right now, they can still go on Club trips with you simply by joining for a $40 single/$60 family membership. This is less than the cost on an hour lesson at most resorts, and the Club will offer free ski lessons on selected trips (not to mention that they won t have to go to all the trouble of planning their own trips). So feel free to invite others you know to attend our September meeting for a preview of what the Club is all about. Also, guest fees have been suspended for this meeting. Bring somebody! Our Costa Rica trip will leave in October with 10 of our Club members and a total of 40 from the OVSC. We ll look forward to hearing about their adventures and all of the activities that the trip has to offer. For those of you who continue to dream about travel abroad, in addition to our Austria offerings this winter, we will again join the Ohio Valley Ski Council (OVSC) in July 2005, traveling to Australia and New Zealand with a potential post-trip option to Fiji. This trip will also open for signups in September, and we re anxious to know how many people are interested in this offering. A small deposit holds your spot now. Please feel free to call the leader for the trip if you have any questions about specific details of a trip. If they don t know they answer, they ll work with me to make sure that we get you the information in a timely manner. I am also available directly as an alternate source of information. I m looking forward to seeing you all again this season! HELP WANTED Misty Robling needs your help to plan and put on the annual Ski Club Fashion Show. The PREZ Speaks by Linda Knight Trip Sign-up It s hard to believe, but summer is nearly over, school is back in session, and it is time to sign-up for the 2005 ski trips!! Martha and Juli have worked hard over the summer to put together a great list of trips. They ve made a real effort to offer a variety of trips, and to keep them at an affordable level, so there should be something for everyone. Just like last year, we will be accepting credit cards as well as personal checks, so please come to our trip sign-up meeting prepared and sign up quickly as these trips are sure to sell out. SIGNUP MEETING IS IN 4TH FLOOR BALLROOM. Indianapolis Athletic Club With the success we had last year holding our monthly membership meetings at the Indianapolis Athletic Club (IAC), we have decided to continue at the same location. This makes it easy to remember where the meetings will be held each month. This also offers us much needed space, especially during trip sign-ups. The IAC is at 350 N. Meridian Street, and parking is available on the street. Various parking garages surround the IAC as well. Like last year, we won t be able to eat at IAC, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby to visit prior to the meeting. Membership Renewal Everyone needs to renew their club membership this month. Dues are only $40 for individuals and $60 for families. There is an application form in this issue, or you can renew at the September ski club meeting. MIDWEST ADVENTURES with Juli Clark Now that you've had the opportunity at last month's picnic to preview the Midwestern trips, it's time to sign up! Live it up over the New Year's holiday at Seven Springs! Check-out the new destination of Wisp, MD. Both are guaranteed to be a good time! Don't forget about OVSC racing at both venues... And for you never-evers, or more experienced skiers, let our very own PSIA certified club instructors guide you thru your ski paces at Perfect North, where you'll be sure to increase your knowledge and comfort levels, and you ll be schussing down that mountain in no time! Don't dally! Sign-up this month to reserve your spot on these adventures! If you wait until the last minute, you may lose out. Ski ya! Juli

Over the summer the Club has been working on a new and improved website for your use as well as to help attract new members to the Club. This was a project with students at ITT Technical Institute and JDR Solutions, Inc. The address will be the same as our old site: www.indyskiclub.org. The basics should be up and running now. Several new features will be added over time, but we think that you ll like the new look and feel of the site along with the enhanced information it has to offer. We re happy to take comments and suggestions once you take a look, so email the Webmaster as listed in the Contact Us section to give us your feedback. PICNIC 04 All the girls love Turbo
