Accommodations- Houseboats - Each boat is equipped with common toilets and shower facilities - 2-3 toilet/shower cubicles onboard - Water for washing and shower is filtered river water. Not for drinking - Drinking water (bottled) will be provided.
Accommodations- Houseboats Safety - Speedboat (Tender) available Life Buoys at side of boats Boat & equipment on board well maintained 2 Crew members present at all times. Each boat has its own radio system Boat would be parked in the evenings (No movement at night) PFDs required at all times while transport in the speedboat.

Packing List TOILETRIES Bath Towel Will not be provided. Each student to bring at least 1-2. Face Towel Can be brought along in the day pack. Personal toiletries E.g. Soap, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, etc. Insect Repellent Recommended to apply whenever possible. Sunblock / Sunscreen Compulsory. Minimum SPF 30. Water resistant type recommended. Personal First Aid Kit (optional) Bandaids, Ointment, Personal Medication, etc.

Trekking / Cargo Pants Prefered Sleepwear 1-2 sets Underwear 5-6 Sets Shorts 2-3 Pieces to be used on the houseboat. Jacket 1 Piece Swimsuit / Swimwear Optional.
Packing List Activities Rain Jacket / Poncho Non-disposable type is advised Water Bottle At least 1L. Transparent bottle preferred. Small Backpack In addition to your main bag. This would be used to carry item such as your water bottle, poncho etc during each day s activities. Preferably Waterproof. Leech Socks Thick Socks to protect against Leeches while trekking. Hiking / Trekking Shoes This is highly recommended. If not please bring a VERY sturdy pair of sports shoes for the trekking. Covered Shoes / Sneakers / Sports Shoes This second pair need not be trekking shoes and will be used for regular walking. Slippers/Sandals Strictly only to be used around the Boathouse.

Frequently asked Questions 1. Are Handphones allowed? Handphones are not allowed. If they are brought, they will be collected before leaving the school on Monday, and returned when the students return to the school on Friday. 2. Will my child be keeping his/her own passport? Passports will be collected once we pass the checkpoint in Penang, and returned just before taking the flight back to Singapore, as a safety precaution. 3. Will there be a daily update? Yes, there will be a blog that is updated daily, with photos of all students.
