Nevertheless, it still has a long history due to its thousand-year-old parts, Ebingen, Tailfingen, Truchtelfingen and Onstmettingen, situated in the valley of the stream Schmiecha, as well as Lautlingen, Laufen, Margrethausen, Pfeffingen and Burgfelden, located along the stream Eyach. However, its most distinctive feature is the dropping edge of the northern Swabian mountains. The lively pedestrian zone in the center of town features creatively designed squares and cafés.
