The town of Charlotte Amalie has one of the most breathtaking harbors in the world. Once home to pirates of long ago, today visitors find treasures of a different kind, for now beautiful beaches and bountiful duty-free shopping are truly its claim to fame. Depart St. Thomas at 6:00 pm. Enjoy a five-course dinner and onboard Philipsburg, St. Maarten Arrive in Philipsburg, St, Maarten at 8:00 am. With an area of only 37 square miles, the island of St. Maarten is the smallest landmass in the world to be divided between two governments. The southern Dutch half offers casinos, duty-free shopping and island culture. The French half is all subdued sophistication. Depart Philipsburg at 6:00 pm. Discovered by Christopher Columbus himself in 1493, this exotic, peaceful island is home to both towering mahogany trees and white-sand beaches. The region offers a challenging hike that extends 1,780 feet up Sage Mountain. A great spot for great birdwatching and breathtaking views of Tortola and neighboring islands. Depart Tortola at 1:00 pm for our return sail to New York City. Enjoy a fivecourse dinner and onboard Thursday, April 5 th Today is a full day at sea. Enjoy the onboard activities, relax in the sun on top deck, read a book or enjoy a cocktail. Friday, April 6 th Today is a full day at sea. Saturday, April 7 th Afternoon/ Arrive at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City at 8:00 am. After we clear customs and gather our luggage, we make our way to our coach and get ready to start the journey home. We will stop for lunch and then depart for Portsmouth, NH. Arrive at the Hampton Inn & Suites, Portsmouth, NH at approximately 6:00 pm. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Sunday, April 8 th Afternoon Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. Today we load the coach and head for home, depart at 8:00 am. Stop at the duty free store before we cross the Canada/US border at Houlton. Arrive home in the Maritimes.
