RESTRICTIVE ENGINEERING WORKS The Site Person in Charge responsible for work published for Asbestos Exclusion Zones, Keep Clear Areas, Wheels Free or Areas where no other work that affects the integrity of the signalling can take place must ensure that the TAC incident desk receives confirmation, between 21:30 and 23:00, that the published work will be taking place on the shift concerned. If no confirmation is received by 23:00 TAC may disregard the restriction and other staff may be permitted to work within the affected area. Contacting the signaller when passage of last train not witnessed When contacting the signaller, because it has not been possible to witness the passage of the last train, protection staff must state the line, station, platform number and if known, the number of the last train. Liverpool Street - Monitoring equipment At Liverpool Street station, on the Circle & Hammersmith and Metropolitan lines and 200m into tunnels towards Aldgate, automated survey monitoring equipment is installed, fixed to the tunnel and track to monitor movement during construction works above. Please avoid touching this equipment, or obstructing in any way the barrel shaped prisms mounted low down on track and trackside - particularly their line of sight to the instruments hanging from the tunnel crowns. If you think you may have inadvertently touched or damaged this equipment, please contact Jocelyn Donovan at Jocelyn.donovan@ipcmonitoring.com. REVISED TRACK ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS ALDGATE TO MOORGATE AND TOWER HILL TO WHITECHAPEL ALL As a result of a formal incident investigation into a number of recent protection irregularities, it was identified that the following enhancement to track access arrangements will be trialled on these traction current sections: Aldgate to Moorgate Inner Rail Moorgate to Aldgate Outer Rail Tower Hill to Whitechapel Eastbound Whitechapel to Tower Hill Westbound. Staff requiring access to any of these traction current sections in this complex area, must NOT contact the track access control until after the published switching off time for traction current. The track access controller will book you on once they have confirmation that the last train has cleared the area and traction current has been switched off.
